I know I won't be right on all of these, nor wrong on all of these, but hey, it's fun throwing out some predictions for the year. Keep in mind that injuries can never be predicted, so if someone gets hurt... can't help it!

1) "With the first pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select..."

2) "With the second pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos Seattle Seahawks select..."

3) (Homer pick) Detroit will win more games than the Browns, Broncos, Rams, and.... the Bucs! I even have a bet in the making with my wife (a Bucs fan) on that. We won't say for what... :kicksrock:

4) The Jets will finish with a top 5 defense.

5) The Pats, Steelers, Titans, and Chargers will win the AFC Division titles.

6) The Jets and Ravens will win the Wild Card spots. Yes, you are reading that right -- the Colts will miss the playoffs for the first time in... forever?

7) The Eagles, Vikings (*), Falcons, and Cardinals will win the NFC Division titles. * = if Sage Rosenfels is the QB.

8) The Packers and Saints will win the Wild Card spots. Yes, you are also reading that right -- only one team from the NFC East will make it to the playoffs this year.

9) The Ravens (who beat the Steelers in the AFC Championship game) will meet up with the Eagles (who beat the Falcons in the NFC Championship game) in the Super Bowl. The winner? Iggles, 27-21.

10) Tom Brady will be hesitant for about the first... 3 seconds, and will then proceed to chuck 35 TDs on the season. He will be your Comeback Player of the Year.

11) With no Bob Sanders possibly for a few games, the undersized Colts defense will struggle, and cause the Colts to limp out of the gate at 2-2, and 2-3 going into their bye week.

12) The Texans, who seem to be everyone's "darling" pick (AGAIN), will finish 8-8... AGAIN. Hey, they will at least beat out the Jaguars!

13) The last place Bills will be a disappointing 6-10, but TO will not implode..... yet. He has a 2 year shelf life with a new team, remember?

14) With or without Crabtree, the 49er passing game will be atrocious again.

15) Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett will be fired after their team underperforms again and causing them to miss the playoffs... AGAIN.

16) Willie Parker will actually make it through an entire season...............

Maybe more to come later...

Colts aren't undersized anymore on D. They have 5 300 LB DTs on the roster. (Antonio and Ed Johnson, Moala, Terrance Taylor and Daniel Muir). Their SAM LB (Phillip Wheeler) is about 245 LBs - much bigger than recent Colts SAM LBs.

hmmmmm

So either the Broncos are going to have the 2nd worst record in the NFL and the SEAHAWKS have the 2nd overall pick

or

The Bears will have the 2nd worst record and the Broncos will have the 2nd overall pick.

Which are you predicting?

They are bigger overall then say 2-3 years ago, but compared to many others, I think they are still considered by many to be "undersized."

Hehe this is true. Didn't factor in their trading of their 1st rounder... so congrats to the Seahawks!

I just wanted to make sure you know they aren't starting 260 LB DTs like they did last year.

With that defense and with the weapons on offense Houston will win in the 10+ range. No excuses if they do not.
Well, I think what they have going for them this year is that they get to play the NFC Worst. Should be at least 2-3 wins out of that. Plus they get to play Cinncy and Oakland. So anything is possible... I just think they are another year or two out from serious playoff contention. I must say though, I like what they are doing there. Nice, young offense and defense. Could be set for many years to come...

I'll play.

1) The Saints will beat the Texans in the Super Bowl. If that happens it won't be a prediction but a premonition from April 14.

2) The rookie with the most receiving TDs won't be first rounders DHB, Crabtree, Harvin, Nicks, Britt, or Maclin. It will be Patrick Turner MIA with 8 receiving TDs.

3) Brett Fav-ray will play at least 3 games this year for the Vikings, after a Rosenfels injury. Childress will choose pulling him off his tractor over pulling Tarvy Jax off the bench.

4) Speaking of the Vikings, Adrian Peterson will break Eric Dickerson's 2,105 yard NFL rushing record.

5) The surprise playoff team will be the wild card 9-7 Raiders.

6) The worst record in the NFL will belong to the 2-14 Kansas City Chiefs. Haley will be one and done as their HC.

7) Detroit will win 6+ games and the Stafford-to-Megatron connection will click all year long.

8) The Broncos won't be as horrible as many predict. Orton won't be horrible. The defense will be less horrible than last year. And Moreno will be awesome behind that line and a top-15 fantasy RB. Broncos overall 7-9.

9) San Francisco will win the NFC West at 10-6 with Alex Smith their starter after taking over early in the season for Shaun Hill and never looking back.

10) The Steelers will not win their division. The Ravens will.

I can't pass this one up as a good chance to shoot my mouth off with random opinions....

1. Matt Cassel=Scott Mitchell (Big contract, product of system, failure eminent)....Maybe Bellichick IS the brains in NE!!!

2. Michael Vick will catch a TD pass from Donovan.

3. The SAINTS will be the NFC representative to the Super Bowl, where he and Brady will dual for about a grand through the air in the game!

4. As much as it pains me, the Patriots are going to be back with a vengence.

5. 2 Missouri teams will be fighting it out for the number one pick next year.

6. Carson Palmer's comeback year will only be overshadowed by Brady's.

7. By week 10 you will be Hearing Shanny's name mentioned by at least 6 teams.

8. The Chargers will fall short and the team will be dismantled by the end of the next offseason.

9. Atlanta will have a "sophomore slump" with all that young talent, BUT it will be short lived and they will have their window open for seasons to come.

10. MJD will lead the league in yards from scrimmage this year for all running backs.

11. My Raiders will be 500 this year in a HUGE surprise................

Rip away.........

MJD will be the #1 player in fantasy.

C. Wells will lead the NFC in rushing TDs.

Den lays claim to the #1 overall pick next year and guess what. They draft their franchise QB Snead! :lmao: :lmao:

Oak will finish .500 or above but still miss the playoffs.

Indy misses the playoffs for the 1st time in what, 10 years? Hou takes their place.

M. Stafford wins rookie of the year.

R. Brown leads the NFL in rushing yds.

1. The Eagles will win the Super Bowl, thanks to Super Bowl MVP Asante Samuel's pick six of Peyton Manning in the final 2 minutes, Samuel's 2nd pick of the game. 27-17 Eagles.

2. The Raiders will win the AFC West and McFadden will be a Pro Bowl RB and be considered a consensus 1st rounder in 2010 drafts. Zach Miller will make the Pro Bowl and will top 1,000 yards receiving, but still not be the #1 TE due to only scoring 4 TD's.

3. The AFC South will not have a single team finish below 8-8. Also 3 teams will make the playoffs and none of them will be Houston.

4. Peyton Manning will finish as the #1 QB, Reggie Wayne will finish as the #1 WR and Dallas Clark will finish as the #1 TE. Manning will win the MVP award yet again.

5. Pierre Thomas will lead the NFL in TD's with 20.

6. MJD will have 2,000 yards from scrimmage and be the #1 fantasy RB.

7. Chris Johnson will average 5.5 YPC and have 10 runs of over 50 yards. He'll finish as a top-3 fantasy RB despite only scoring 10 TD's.

8. Donovan McNabb will have the best year of his career and DeSean Jackson will make the Pro Bowl. McNabb will be talked about as a serious Hall of Fame candidate.

9. Jim Caldwell will win coach of the year, just edging out Tom Cable.

10. The #1 pick in the 2010 draft will belong to the Seattle Seahawks...so will the #2 pick as Jim Mora is one and done.

11. The Cowboys will be coached by Mike Shanahan by the end of January.

12. The curse of the Super Bowl loser strikes again as the Cardinals miss the playoffs. Surprisingly the Alex Smith led 49ers take the division.

13. Comeback player of the year Tom Brady leads the Patriots to the AFC Championship Game, only to be out dueled by Manning.

14. Norv Turner, LaDainian Tomlinson and Shawne Merriman are all ex-Chargers in 2010.

15. Finally, Brett Favre does not come back to the Vikings. In early December as the Packers are out of the playoff hunt due to a terrible defense, Favre signs a one day contract and retires as a Packer and is honored at a meaningless home finale against Seattle that will nevertheless be flexed to Sunday Night Football.

I predict that travdogg will go 0-15 on his predictions.

1. Pierre Thomas will be a top 5 RB this year.

2. Orton will have a better Fantasy season than Cutler.

3. Jermichael Finley will have a top 10 season as a TE.

4. This season will be LT's last horrah. Gartrell will take over with Sproles sprinkled in.

5. Houston FINALLY makes the playoffs.

6. TO will continue to amass TD catches and still be undervalued. 14td's.

7. Braylon will find his hands and bounce back HUGE.

8. Det WILL win a game

9. Steelers will be in Florida for 2nd straight year in Feb.

10. If the Eagles dont' win the super bowl, Vick is the new starting QB for 2010 and McNabb is on his way to Minny.

A lot of people down on the Bears this year, since Denver has Chicago's 1st pick and Seattle has Denver's first pick.

1) "With the first pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select..."

*** Until the last few weeks of the season, this was looking like a fairly decent prediction

2) "With the second pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos Seattle Seahawks select..."

*** Knew this one was way off after about game 3 or 4 -- they surprised EVERYONE with that start

3) (Homer pick) Detroit will win more games than the Browns, Broncos, Rams, and.... the Bucs! I even have a bet in the making with my wife (a Bucs fan) on that. We won't say for what...

*** ARGH Why did the Saints have to play like crap?!?!?!

4) The Jets will finish with a top 5 defense.

*** Got this one right, finally

5) The Pats, Steelers, Titans, and Chargers will win the AFC Division titles.

*** 2 out of 4 right -- other two didn't even make the playoffs, though they came close -- ewps!

6) The Jets and Ravens will win the Wild Card spots. Yes, you are reading that right -- the Colts will miss the playoffs for the first time in... forever?

*** Nailed the wild card picks, but about as far off on the Colts as you can get!

7) The Eagles, Vikings (*), Falcons, and Cardinals will win the NFC Division titles. * = if Sage Rosenfels is the QB.

*** 2 out of 4 right again -- the Eagles just missed by one game and the Falcons just missed the playoffs

8) The Packers and Saints will win the Wild Card spots. Yes, you are also reading that right -- only one team from the NFC East will make it to the playoffs this year.

*** Got one of these right, and the other one won their division, so not TOO bad -- the other prediction I was off by one

9) The Ravens (who beat the Steelers in the AFC Championship game) will meet up with the Eagles (who beat the Falcons in the NFC Championship game) in the Super Bowl. The winner? Iggles, 27-21.

*** Both made the playoffs, so I at least have a chance - not feeling all that confident that it will happen though

10) Tom Brady will be hesitant for about the first... 3 seconds, and will then proceed to chuck 35 TDs on the season. He will be your Comeback Player of the Year.

*** Announced today - actually nailed it, not that it was THAT hard to predict

*** Just barely missed this prediction

*** Nailed this one, too, but forgot that TO only signed a 1 year contract - doubt he re-signs with Buffalo

14) With or without Crabtree, the 49er passing game will be atrocious again.

*** Wasn't AS bad as I thought it would be -- Combined, Hill and Smith had almost 3300 yards, 23 TDs, and 14 INTs -- not awesome, but not the worse either

15) Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett will be fired after their team underperforms again and causing them to miss the playoffs... AGAIN.

*** Was wrong about them missing the playoffs, but it has yet to be determined if Phillips and/or Garrett get to stick around

16) Willie Parker will actually make it through an entire season............... :blackdot:

*** *buzzer* Definitely wrong on that one - he just flat out cannot stay healthy and would not be surprised to see him on another team next year

There were some AMAZING calls in this one. I'm shocked how much you were right on. Absolutely well done, sir.
