Randy Moss BUY LOW opportunity? (1 Viewer)

I think this is a moment to either Sell or Buy on Randy.

Opinions depends on the owner and situations.

With Randy rated pretty much top3, you could possibly land alot for him.

On the same note if you have a chance to strike and land Moss i think this the time to grab him off his bad week.

if you sell him, you get a noob.

if you try to buy him, you are wasting your time.

sorry, but /end thread.

Hard to unload Randy, he is a very special talent... I dont think I can pull the trigger but I'm thinking of offering Randy for Slaton and Manningham, this trade could definetly ruin my season, but the upside is really high.

If I got that offer, I wouldn't hesitate to let Slaton and Mario walk... Randy Moss is an elite talent. Tom Brady is an elite QB throwing him the ball. In dynasty or redraft, I just don't see myself turning this down, specially PPR leagues where WRs have even more value.

Ouch...im sure that will be ACCEPTED so quick you wouldnt have time to think what a mistake that would be. Manningham is looking GREAT at this point. Is he a great diamond in the rough....maybe but i wouldnt side with that just yet.You have to take into account really Eli hasnt had anyone else to throw to other than Smith/Mario. When Nicks/Hixon get back into the foldId expect some of those targets to go around. I like Mario though. Wouldnt move off Moss for him and Slaton though. You should be able to get a better rb than Slaton. Or a way better wr than Mario. imo

In a dynasty if I could get Jennings for him I likely would.

In a redraft, it would take AJ but off a huge week that's unlikely, maybe Calvin or a top 10 RB depending on needs.

I agree, it's very difficult to trade or trade for players like Randy Moss.

if you can make a trade for him, you are either giving up way too much for him or ripping the other owner off (and give slaton and manningham).

I traded Gore for Moss before this week. It hurts this week, but come the end of the season, I am trusting that Moss will have as good a chance to be the #1 WR as anyone else and I was deep at RB (MJD, Gore, Benson, Rice, Hightower; .5 ppr) and lacking a true #1 WR.

EDIT to say that there is no way the owner would've traded Moss for junk.

listening to Mike-n-Mike (ESPN) this morning, Chris Carter was on talking about Brady, basically saying Brady is not looking comfortable in the pocket, not stepping up to throw, etc..

we all kind of knew that Brady would take some time to get back in to the swing of things after being on IR for a year..afterall, Manning took 1/2 of a season to get back to 'normal'.

Moss is an exceptionally talented WR, but maybe, just maybe this is the year that the NE team starts to slip..we're seeing the cracks already...porous defense, the O-line isn't particularly good, they don't have running game and that makes them very one-dimensional.

it's easier to stop Moss without Welker on the field, so his return is vital to any offensive success they're going to have..

Maybe Moss has lost a step

maybe losing McDaniels is a bigger blow than ego-man BB is willing to admit?!

maybe losing Vrabel, Brusci,Mayo et al , is costing them ( they couldn't stop Buffalo at all last week)

they just don't seem like the same team, they don't even look like the Brady-less 2008 Pats

I don't recommend trading Moss but I can understand why some people would trade him away..

As a Moss owner in a couple of dynasties and a couple of redrafts, there is no way I'd even consider this offer, especially considering Slaton's performance/touch numbers this year.

In a redraft I think you hold Moss and ride it out while their offense tries to find its groove. In a dynasty I wouldn't hesitate to move off Moss for a younger "less talented" WR or some other youth.

Just moved Reggie Bush and Hester for Little Leon and Moss.....very happy he had a bad week last week!! 4 man keeper league for those who are curious as to what kind of league it is.

Moss went 12 for 141 two weeks ago

He has one down game against one of the best corners in football in Revis in a game where the Jets defense hurried Brady all day and people are jumping ship?

Crazy

I own him in my PPR league and he's not tradeable. Big big games are coming as he only faces the Jets one more time and the schedule has very few "scary" matchups on it.

Whole lotta over reacting in this thread.
I'm with you in your perception of this thread and I won't be giving up Moss (or Brady) at this time, but it's at least a little possible that the offensive malaise of the Patriots stretches a few more weeks and should that happen, my team will be in bad shape record-wise and no trades (of the value I might get now) will be possible.I went into the season with no intention of trading him, but if I was in a redraft with everything else looking solid and could get a reasonable deal, I would definitely consider it. Of course, a secondary motivation is concern about weather in weeks 14-16. I knew that going in, too, but the combination of potential weaker numbers for a few more weeks with the weather issue makes it not the 100% "I would not possibly consider a trade" situation that you apparently believe it to be.

The same corner who shut down Andre Johnson also shut down Randy Moss. Both had huge games in their other contest. Why would anyone be looking to sell?

I put out some trades for Randy after seeing this thread.

This is the trade that was accepted:

He gives:

Randy Moss

Carnell Williams

Matt Hasselbeck

Torry Holt

I give:

Matt Ryan

Chad Ochocinco

Darren Sproles

Devin Hester

New team (10 team league)

QB: Roethlisberger, Hasselbeck

WR: Moss, AJohnson, White, Holt

RB: DWilliams, Ronnie Brown, Benson, Rice, LJohnson, Caddy

TE: Clark

I love Ryans upside but qb's are easily attainable. But you did great here pairing Moss with AJ. Goes to show you some guys will overreact and move Moss.

I was just offered Peyton for Moss in my full-keeper league.

The Peyton owner also has Aaron Rogers and I've got Warner but my WRs behind Moss are pretty meek.

I'm chewing on it but prolly gonna turn it down. It's a fair trade but doesn't significantly help my team win games this year.

REDRAFT

I was offered Boldin and SSmith (CAR) for Moss and Harvin. Difficult decision, but I turned it down. Still not sure it was the right move.

I offered Turner for Moss to an owner who's #2 rb is Reggie (no ppr). He's ignored me.
I'm a Moss owner is a similar situation. I also turned down Turner. I think everyone and their brother knows that Week 2 was an off week. Thereare plenty of 100yd + TD games still left in the tank

 I am sure the right balance of give-and-take is available. You need to open your horizons, son. :football:

I tried to buy this week, but the price was still too high.

I'm just not feeling the 09 version of the Pats. Belichick is just an average coach when he has average talent. This team can not put the ball in the endzone.

After blowing out your knee and not playing for a full year you don't just go back to business as usual.Give it a little time. But if this week continues to be disappointing both Brady and Moss could be buy low opportunities. Although neither player will ever be cheap because of name recognition and draft position so don't get greedy.

After the pre-season week3 game (I think) I was ready for the Brady Moss Combo to hit for 15-20 TDs this year. I think we will be very lucky to see double digit TDs at this point.I hope you are right, but as a Brady owner in a TD heavy league...The guy is killing me.

Moss Just doesn't look like he has "it" anymore. Brady's passes are a bit off, but Moss is NOT fighting to bring those balls down anymore

Moss caught 10 for 116. That's a pretty solid day for a what most people will surely consider to be disappointing.

Moss's stat line today doesn't tell the whole story. He could've easily had 2 TDs + another ~80yds if he caught two catchable balls (one was a nice play by the defender, one Moss bobbled in the endzone).

You are high. Brady missed a wide open Moss for one TD (threw high again - his mechanics are off), and another iffy pass by Brady (wobbly) in the end zone Moss bobbled two times before it went through his fingertips. Shoulda had 2 TD's and 60+ more yards.

dont forget the one where he was wide open and brady overthrew him

Raise your hand if you think Brady's mechanics won't work themselves out in the next couple games....
