those cb's there are speedy, fabian and dominique and they have ed reed. randy moss still going to burn them?

who knows, but the chance for moss havi a great game is dependent on welker playing

The Ravens have problems with big WRs. If they can't get pressure on Brady, Moss could have a field day.

Come on... it's Randy Moss. It's not like he's never faced a good defense before, and it's not like the Ravens are the '77 Falcons or anything. I'll bench Randy Moss for injury or bye. That's pretty much it.

should have made this clear. i'm looking for matchup analysis for those who have experience with this stuff, not whether or not i should start him.

You know the Ravens will shut down the run. And just go look at what SD and KC did to the Ravens passing the ball....Moss is a must start next week.

I do have to point out that some dude posted that he was considering benching Moss in week #2 due to the poor matchup against the Jets, and everybody absolutely blasted him. Then Moss proceeded to get 26 yards. One data point doesn't make a trend, and I know folks love the "never bench your studs" mantra, but there is clearly room for discussion.

Moss will be fine against the Ravens, their defense isn't what it used to be. They are winning football games but not shutting down QB's. Brodie Croyle throws 2 TD's in Week 1, Rivers get 436 yards in Week 2. As for Cleveland, anyone who judges anything based on a Cleveland Browns performance needs help.

Brady's line is gonna start protecting better and the Ravens do not have a shutdown corner like Revis or Bailey. I see another 8-10 catches easy for 80-120 yards, hopefully a TD as well.

No freakin way, I don't care how bad matchup it looks like Randy Moss is a must start every week. Sometimes he may lay a dud like he did against New York but i'll be damned if I bench him when he puts up 40 pts.

Please stop saying this, guys. KC had a total of 160 yds passing against the Ravens, about a third of which was on one play to Bradley. Croyle had one good drive for a TD and another for a FG. The other offensive TD came on a DJ 70 yard INT return to the 6 and the 3rd TD was on a blocked punt. KC didn't light up Baltimore by any stretch.Rivers did, though. As I said upthread, lack of pressure on a good QB makes the Ravens extremely vulnerable. To not start Moss against them is ridiculous.

thanks. i'm looking for posts like these from people who actually WATCHED the game and knew the KC game was a result of raven turnovers.again, to those people saying "no way dont bench" that's not even the question i am asking :goodposting:

I would start Moss, especially considering what a great day Vjax had against them, and Brady looked like he was heating up towards the end of his game against ATL

I think there are situations where you can sit your studs, I just think that there's a difference between fantasy studs and NFL studs. Steve Slaton or Matt Forte are guys who are fantasy studs. Randy Moss and Steven Jackson are examples of NFL studs. I might sit a fantasy stud based on matchup, but I'm not sitting an NFL stud based on matchup, because the definition of an NFL stud is a guy who beats everyone more often than not. If a guy's arguably the best WR in the history of the sport, I'm not worried about his matchup unless he's facing arguably the best pass defense in the history of the sport.
