Rank the rookie WRs in redraft (or at least say your favorites) (1 Viewer)

Harrison’s ADP is still quite high even though I see a lot of the narrative being against him. Either way, hard for me to trust him that high.

Nabers seems like everyone’s darling right now.

Worthy looking pretty good so far and in a great offense.

Thomas, Odunze, McConkey, Legette, Polk, Wilson, Wilson, McMillan, Burton all have paths to playing time of varying sizes.

Who do you like for rookie WRs, especially considering value for where you can draft them?

Harrison going very slightly too high
Nabers going a medium amount too high
Worthy going a bit too low (esp with brown injury)
Thomas going way too high
Ladd going too low
Polk going too high

Ladd and Worthy are the ones I'm targetting.

In redraft, most are a pass for me at their ADP. Odunze looks very good and could surprise with his production. Three really good WR plus Swift and good TEs. He could be very productive against single coverage. A late round pick of Polk or Roman Wilson could pay dividends.

Thanks for explicitly saying redraft, as that is what I am going for

Why do you think nabers is going too high? His own ability or the potential tire fire of the giants offense?

I'm avoiding Odunze at his ADP in redraft due to too much competition for targets.

I'm avoiding Polk and Baker in redraft because I am avoiding all Patriots in redraft.

I don't see the case for Harrison in the early 2nd. I'd be more comfortable in the late 2nd/early 3rd.

Based on raw talent there's a good chance Nabers is the best WR in this class. But is he QB proof or close to it? We don't know, and that will matter for redraft because Jones is horrible.

Worthy was going too low, but that will change with his performance this week and the clarified return timeline for Brown. If you are drafting close to opening day, he may be overvalued by then.

I like Ladd in PPR, but he went in the 7th in my redraft on Wednesday and I thought that was too high. The Harbaugh Chargers won't pass as much as the Staley Chargers did, and we don't really know how healthy Herbert is.

nailed it.

My thoughts…consensus ranks & ADP are full PPR from FantasyPros, adjust accordingly:

MHJ is the best WR prospect since Chase came out. At WR9 it feels too much like I’m drafting him at his ceiling. I’ll let someone else take the risk. I like Kyler to have a good season and he may well be fairly priced, but if I am looking for a WR1 after taking a hero in round 1, I don’t want my season to depend on him being all that we assume he will be. First 2 rounds I like safety.

Malik Nabers is legit. ECR WR23, ADP WR24 (4.04) - IMO he can out produce that equity massively. IDK my draft slot for next Sunday but anywhere around 35-40 I’ll be thinking about him. Even with an atrocious QB, he’s that good.

Those two are the only league winners IMO. But I like a lot of other guys in this draft.

Next two couldn’t be more different: McConkey (ECR WR 40, ADP WR 42 9.01) and Worthy (ECR WR, ADP WR 38 8.04.) I like Ladd and think he’s going to be a solid pro, dependable WR3. But I expect the LAC to have a low volume, run heavy team that will try to keep the score down.

I am lower than consensus on Worthy. After his last game when he torched a practice squad CB I expect plenty of helium this week. He’s light, unrefined, not good at the catch point, doesn’t understand hand fighting when he faces press man. But Reid + speed + Mahomes will lift him into an ADP territory I won’t be comfortable with, so not expecting him to be where I want him to be. I make a lot of calls on specific players, sometimes I’m wrong, maybe I am here. But I don’t think he’s going to have a good career and I def am out on him Y1.

Thomas and Coleman may see some volume. Whether I’m interested depends on the flow of the draft. Where they are going I tend to be collecting lottery ticket RBs or filling out the roster.

AD Mitchell isn’t likely to see volume with Pittman, Downs and even Woods soaking up targetes. He’s intriguing.

Odunze should be a good pro eventually. Rookie QBs tend to struggle supporting fantasy assets, with obvious exceptions.

Legette - doesn’t profile as a good pro. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong.

Baker, Burton, Franklin, McMillen, Pearsall, Polk, Wilson, et al - our draft is 18 rounds so at least some of these guys will be taken. I view them as WW fodder for redraft 12 teamers. But they all have the potential to become starters, maybe next year eh.
