Rank these wr's in order from the ones you think will be most productive from last year class and this years class.

M.Colsten

S.Holmes

C.Jackson

B.Marshall

G.Jennings

Demetrius Williams

M.Stovall

(to name a few)

Calvin Johnson

D.Jarrett

T.Ginn

D.Bowe

R.Meachum

J.Higgins

A.Gonzales

(to name a few)

With some of the responses i been reading i got a feelin all the wr's would kinda rate over the last year corps (excluding COLSTEN of course)

How do you FBG'ers have em ranked.

C. JohnsonColston JarrettHolmesBowe Ginn JenningsRiceMeachem C. JacksonHigginsMarshallDe. WilliamsGonzalezC. DavisStovall Some thoughts:- I might ultimately move Meachem up. I'm not very familiar with him and will have to do more homework.- Ginn has star potential, but he's so raw as a WR that I have to ding him a bit. These Stallworth/Lelie/Williamson speed demon types haven't been particularly effective in the NFL lately. - I'm kind of on the fence about Sidney Rice. He looks the part on paper, but I don't know if he has the killer instinct of a top NFL WR. It looks to me like he lets the ball get into his body and is not as natural catching the ball as Johnson or Jarrett. - I'll have to take a second look at Gonzalez. He never stood out to me in OSU games and always looked like a Ricky Proehl/slot type, but Ohio State fans seem to think he's pretty good. - I just don't know much about Craig Davis. He could move way up this list. - The Rice/Meachem/C. Jackson/Higgins tier is ripe with upside. When you're talking about risk vs. reward, that might be the ideal area to make trade inquiries. I'd also add Derek Hagan to that tier. That's about where he belongs.- Santonio Holmes might be a bit high, but he was the first WR chosen last year and you can't ignore his solid rookie season.

I didn't understand why he was listed until I re-read the first post. He did add "to name a few." I would assume Stovall would be a good ways down your list if you weren't just sorting the listed names. Right?Who do you see as missing from the original lists? Where do they fit? I'll offer mine when I get some time. I find this an awkward approach though. Bunch of guys we've seen in the NFL who weren't very impressive to begin with listed with a bunch of guys who we haven't seen in the NFL but are very impressive to begin with. At a glance, Holmes, Bowe and Jackson seem high to me. I'm not going to let Bowe's big week make too much of an impression. It was none other than Stovall lighting up Mobile a year ago.

From Ginn to Jennings I think the only way anyone could get this right right now would be pure luck.

Not sure why i added Stovall at all either.

Anyway, im curious to the low ranking on Chad Jackson?? Is it because of his offense or cause of him. I know he had all the opportunity you could ask for but was injured alot. And NE doesnt have any impressive wr's although Gaffney might stick.

That's what happens when you have a quiet rookie year. He's still pretty high on my list. He wasn't very productive in college and I get the feeling that he's dumber than a bag of hammers, but he's probably the most talented WR on the Patriots and there's plenty of time for him to get things turned around.

Jackson was productive in college. Homerun hitter as a sophomore, nearly led the nation in receptions as a junior. I don't think he's tough enough to ever be a star in the NFL. It was one of the reasons I never rated him very high last year. I swear I've seen the fear of God in this kid when asked to go over the middle. He doesn't have the make up to be physical, and he may find himself dominated at the LoS. Awesome speed and very very good hands. But he's no Antonio Bryant. At NE he'll enjoy playing musical chairs with the WR1 position, but I doubt he ever establishes himself at that spot. Every name I listed above him I believe has a better shot at being a WR1 someday.
