Rankings vs Rate My Team (1 Viewer)

First Time Poster so this may be a dumb question, but...

I'm using the Top 300 Draft List in my mock drafts and afterwards I use Rate My Team to see how I can improve to get ready for my real draft. I'm confused; are there discrepancies between the two? For instance, the Top 300 (from 8/11) has Kyler Murray as QB1, but Rate My Team states that he'll suffice because he's QB4. And there are many more examples... What am I doing wrong?

You probably need to use a draft list that is more tied to your scoring system.

Hmm... I guess so, but I was using the FG PPR rankings and the FG Rate My Team was basic PPR, so I just didn't understand why the discrepancy between the rankings on a particular player. What rankings does Rate MY team use? Can you view them somewhere?

I think this year's version is a little glitchy. I've run my drafted team through "Rate My Team" for years.  This year's comments were so amazing I had to share them.  Background: Using standard FBG advice, I didn't rush to take a QB (even though it's a superflex league), knowing that QBs 12-17 aren't much different than QBs 7-11, right? I ended up with Cousins, Tua and Fitzmagic--not great, but I see them as acceptable, given I was able to stock up on top RBs and WRs. Cousins is floating around QB12 in most rankings, Tua is QB15 or so, and Fitz isn't too far behind, right? So, how did Rate My Team view my picks? First, the review indicates "Players we particularly like on this team (and there's a lot to like here) include Ryan Fitzpatrick...and Tua Taglovailoa."(Note, I'm not bringing up other players because I'm not looking to turn this into a "rate my team" thread").  OK, so it likes Fitz and Tua. Now, move on to the QB analysis portion of the review: 

"We have Ryan Fitzpatrick ranked #17 at the position, so we don't even necessarily see him as being 1 worthy in this league.

Tua Tagovailoa should serve as a very solid 2nd Quarterback; he's a likely flex starter. Kirk Cousins will also be among the best QB3s in the league."

So, memo to self (and to "Rate My Team"): Maybe use the guy who is a low-end QB1 as the starter and QB17 as the QB3?
