Your team looks pretty solid., but your small starting lineups may make that a bit deceiving. SBs and the backend of your rotation are the probable soft spots. Handcuffing the Oakland bullpen is an interesting strategy

Your rotation's very soft for a 12 teamer by my projections (W's and K's are lacking, although K/9 + ratios look pretty good so just getting more IP's on the roster should cure your problems without causing too many more issues).

Miles is replacement level at best in this format, I'd dump him for the best starting arm.

When Devine wins the OAK job I'd put Zeigler on a short leash (actually, I'd dump him), his ratios will do your staff nicely but there's several out of nowhere pitchers every year. This staff needs one, take some chances and hope you strike gold.

I'm not particularily high on Lowell, I'd drop him, but if you expect a bounce back, ok.

Ankiel though, in a league with only 3 OF spots and your OF being pretty solid (sans Chris Young's avg) there's no need for a backup, at least him anyway. If one of your guys gets hurt or is ineffective add someone else at that time, they'll probably be about as good as Ankiel.

Awesome advice here. Thanks.

I think Prince in the 2nd was a reach. That purple suit and guitar slows him down on the basepaths

and he's lost a step since Vanity left him.

Overall a solid B minus

honestly, there are a ton of holes on that team. Your lineup is soft other than Wright and Holliday. You could have done better at Prince and Roberts. You have a team that is going to strikeout a TON. Your bench is gross so you better hope no one gets hurt or be all over the waiver wire. Your catcher will likely be splitting time.

Your staff looks ok on the surface but it really isnt. Haren has bee getting shelled in spring training, but i wouldn't worry about that too much as he has been an ace for over 2 years now. But he is your best pitcher which is worrisome.

Lester is good but as your number 2?? Id be worried. Greinke is awesome but he is a headcase. You never know whe nthe next breakdown is coming. Your number 4 is Sanhez who I actually like a lot. But, i dont see much difference this year from last. His stuff is electric but he is still learning. he will have a lot of K's but a high whip and era. YOur #5 Duscherer might need tommy john. The A's are being very ho-hum about it.

Good effort, but i'd be willing to bet this is one of the worst teams by the end of the year. Sorry, but good luck. THe season is long and there are tone of opportunities to pick up GEMS on the WW. Make sure you pay attention to that and you might compete.

Like you said, Haren isn't a worry. Considering the one team took all pitchers the first 10 rounds, I'd venture a guess that most staff look a bit underwhelming and it's not awful to have him as the #1. He's a borderline ace.Lester might be a reach as a #2 or he could develop into a 1. Either way, he's close. Greinke is going to be one of the best 3's in his league. Why would the next breakdown be looming? He showed last year he was over those issues, no?Duchscherer is a big worry, I agree.Other than that, not bad.
