Rate the remaining QBs (1 Viewer)

Taken from the "franchise QB" thread. Which of the (as I write this) remaining QBs are franchise QBs, which are elite, and can you put a numerical rating on each? (Numerical value - if 10 is the GOAT, ultimate franchise QB; and 1 is Gabbert or worse)

All of these guys are franchise QBs. Would anyone disagree?

ELITE

Peyton Manning 9

Tom Brady 9

Drew Brees 8

Andrew Luck 8

Not quite ELITE, or just haven't proven it yet.

Russell Wilson 7

Cam Newton 7

Colin Kaepernick 7

Phillip Rivers 7

I don't think anyone can reasonably refute whether the first 3 are truly elite. No matter how you rank them, they're going into the HOF and should be considered among the best all-time. I'll include Luck as elite.

Not real sure about the rest. I like all of these guys a lot, would probably put Wilson on top but that might be more due to his team being so good overall. Cam is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Brilliant at times but not consistent. Same with Kaep.

I expect to get flack for putting Rivers on the bottom, but this is by far more of respect for the others than disrespect to him.

Frankly, I think these are 8 of the top QBs in the game right now. Rodgers clearly belongs in the ELITE, with a 9

Ben, Foles (Five), maybe Ryan and Romo could be argued, but none of these should be put above the others.

The term is very subjective and silly to me.

I think there are elite QBs, great but not elite (yet), good, game managers/ the rest.

Elite: Manning/Brady/Rodgers/Brees

Great: Luck/Cam/Wilson/

Good: Ryan/Cutler/Stafford/Kaepernick/Palmer/Dalton

Game Managers: Rest

I might have missed someone, no offense. My list is subjective and silly too to some, I'm sure.

Has Palmer put himself back into "good" status? Ben is great, probably have Eli wherever you'd put Palmer. RG3 will be back into this discussion next year.

Also I'd put Tannehill into the good status, but he needs help.

Agree with this. The Luck knobslobbing has gotten a little too much. For once i actually agree with Skip Bayless.

It's really a very good list. We have 3 of the top 4 qbs in football. Brees, manning, and Brady. My next tier today is going to be Wilson, kaperneck, luck, and rivers in no specific order based on their talent and more importantly post season success (all won playoff games). Cam newton is at the bottom with a chance to move up tomorrow.
