Ravens first drive:

Jamal Lewis = 6 carries for 34 yards.

As a Jamal Lewis owner in two  dynasty leagues I have to say:

Also an encourage sign for Heap/Lewis owners that you see this in the box:

3-5-NYG39 (12:50) S.McNair pass short middle to T.Heap to NYG 22 for 17 yards (G.Wilson). Penalty on NYG-W.Joseph, Encroachment, declined.

You know that if Boller was in there it would have been incomplete pass - punt.

Or not:3-10-BAL 34 (4:24) (Shotgun) K.Boller pass short right to M.Clayton to NYG 44 for 22 yards (G.Wilson).

:lmao:Like clockwork!

Besides Jacob's 14 yard run, he is averaging 0.7 yards per carry.

King of the 1 yard TD lean is king of the 1 yard run no matter where he is on the field. :2cents:

He also got his usual lucky gimmy at the 1 yard line again, this time instead of Tiki setting it up it was set up by a pass interference call in the endzone.

flicking between Jets/Giants/Mets/yanks but from what I saw he was going to Heap and Mason a lot. Looked good overall and showed his legs still work beating the Cb to the GL for a TD.

Giants looked absolutely awful in the first quarter on Offense and Defense

How does/did McNair look?
I asked in post 3 and have not heard. I would guess not many are watching ...... :(
I would have watched, but I don't get MASN and I get every baltimore station EXCEPT fox. Don't get NFL Network either for what it's worth. About 30 miles from the stadium and I can't get the game.*#@)#)* Adelphia/Comcast/whoever TF owns my cable company now.

McNair cut em up like a hot knife thru butter. I didn't see the play but they said Mason has a concusion.

Lewis looks like his old self.

Clayton showing no signs of injury.

McNair looks good.

Left early (duh), hit Heap twice and targeted Mason deep (bad throw, wrong shoulder, inside should have been out).

Brandon Jacobs had a decent 1st Q run.

Musa Smith had a nice run - 2 carries for 40+ yards total.

Boller having trouble getting out from under center.

Sims (35), RB, for NYG doesn't look bad either. Could be the speed backup for Tiki? Haven't seen Ward yet.

I think Ward is still out with the broken bone in his foot

Demetrius Williams looked good in the 2-minute drill before the half. Definite talent there.

He could be the #3 in Baltimore, which with a legit QB could be worth something.

51 (Mike Smith)

53 (Cody)

They looked good.

Prude has decent stats - not showing me much.

Musa and Mike Smith are the stories.

McNair ran in the TD and took a shot - scary, except it's him. He is RoboQB.

My thoughts on the Ravens.

McNair led 12 play drive to start the game. One shot downfield (Mason, see above) and the rest the dink and dunk but put the ball in a position for the reciever to run after the catch that we are used to from him.

Boller seemed calmer, but had some miscues. Tripped from under center twice. Late with the ball on occasion. Starred down a few recievers.

J. Lewis played first drive. Looks much quicker and stronger than last year.

Musa Smith had a few nice runs.

Anderson did not do much. Has to learn this blocking scheme.

PJ Daniels 2 fumbles...

Mason concusion, learn more after the game but does not seem serious.

Clayton did nice job of making himself open and visable over the middle during first drive. Could really blossom this year with McNair.

Williams making strong push for #3 with nice catches. Darling non-existant in this game. Moore DNP (hernia)

Heap: See above

Agree that Heap will be a monster with McNair at QB. Also, don't forget that Heap was able to properly condition himself this offseason as opposed to recovering from injuries the past two years.

The thing that really stuck out to me though is Matt Stover. All of the ingredients are there for a big year. Good enough offense, but bad in the red zone AND a stingy D who causes turnovers.

ATT YDS TD LG 7 -3 0 8 How could you possibly say he looked good?

Damn McNair and his TD vulturing!!! :hot: :jamallewisowner: :bag:
Don't blame McNair, blame Heap for moving them back and putting them in a passing situation from which McNair could scramble:3-1-NYG1 (12:50) PENALTY on BLT-T.Heap, False Start, 5 yards, enforced at NYG 1 - No Play.3-6-NYG6 (12:50) S.McNair scrambles up the middle for 6 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

.2-11-NYG27 (8:22) T.Hasselbeck pass to J.Sims to BLT 48 for 25 yards (D.Landry) [Mi.Smith].He looked good on that play.Sometimes preseason is about ONE play and showing a spark - especially when you are running with 2nd/3rd teamers.

B. Jacobs looked extremely slow. This guy needs a 6 foot hole to make anything happen. He can't make anyone miss and does not have the speed to bounce outside. After Tiki retires the Giants will really need to find another RB. Jacobs will get his goal line work (which Tiki would be just as effective) and that is it. I don't even know if he is a good hand cuff for Tiki. Without Tiki playing the Giants will struggle to keep the chains consistently moving.

Jacobs did have 7 TD's as a rookie, but I think it would be impossible for him this season to increase that number.

I was real impressed by McNair and JLew. McNair will make that offense go. Good mix of hitting Heap and others in stride over the middle plus taking shots down field to Mason. Lewis just looked strong and decisive. I'm bumping him up...

The game wasnt televised on my NFLN until today at 10am...and its still going on.

McNair looked really good...esepcially compared to what weve seen out of Boller the last few years. He looked sharp and had a couple nice passes to Heap.

Heap looks great as usual

JLewis looks like he is healthy and ran really strong.

Mason had one catch at the goal line and left with a concussion.

Clayton has a couple nice catches also.

Manning looked good but not great. He should have had a TD to plax, but lead him out of bounds. Plax made the catch.

Tiki, Arrington, and Shockey didnt play.

Jacobs filled in pretty good and had a couple nice runs....as well as a 1 yard TD.

Mason suffered concussion on the game's first drive. McNair hit him on the one and Mason got drilled by three Giants. He came off the field on the play and never returned. Heap jumped offsides on the following play which led to McNair's TD scramble.

Giants O-Line didn't open many big holes. I wasn't as down on Jacobs as others. He doesn't hit the hole the way Tiki does but he also wasn't given much room either. On the first play of the game Bart Scott drilled him 3 yards behind the line and Jacobs shook off the hit like Scott was a mosquito before rumbling for maybe 13 yards.

Boller still doesn't look settled back there, although he never lined up with starters.

Ravens reserve LB Smith was the player of the game.

I assume you mean the old self of three years ago? Man, I hope this has some bearing to regular season play. I've been targetting Lewis in drafts and have him as a solid value pick this year.

How did the Ravens defense look overall?

Ray Lewis?

How about Ngata? Did he start? Did his presence free up the LBs more than last year?
