To avoid the delay of game. Technically, the TO was needed at that point, but the need for using it was bad. Plus, it didn't end up helping.

That one was better than the timeout on first down in the third quarter.

Agreed. On the 3rd and goal where they had to take the TO, I really think Kaepernick was going to score on that sweep to the left. The way the alignment was set up the seal should have been there.

Flacco 11 TDs and 0 INTs in the playoffs. Pretty amazing. And the dude was gunslinging it a bit. Not like they've been playing super conservative. And Boldin's hands should be dipped in gold. Some CLUTCH catches all playoffs long.ETA: those 11TD passes ties Montana and Warner. Not bad company to have in a contract year
