Just curious as I dont get any vikings games on tv.....this guy was a sleeper last year and did NOTHING!

I see hes only 24 and has the size....with the help of Allen and the williams boys...does anyone think he can turn it around be the sack master he was in High School and college?

or should I just close the book on this sleeper bust?

How can you call a "sleeper" a "bust"? :football:

In any case... in most of my leagues he finished in the top 30 - a legit DL2 in my 16 team league. He's young and has pieces around him and I would expect continued improvement (just as he improved from the year before).

I wouldn't "close the book", but I might recalibrate expectations. I think a top 20 finish is not out of the question, and if you're not happy with that, well, then I don't know what to tell you :)

I saw him as a great sleeper candidate last year, and see him as the same this year. I've rostered him again....he certainly should have opportunities.

That team has two very good DT's (for now, until the suspension I guess) and an elite pass rushing DE in Jared Allen opposite Edwards. Allen is clearly the guy who they want in the backfield, which may relegate Edwards to more of a gap control and run stopping role, but there's no doubt that the OL will have to be preoccupied with other players which will cause there to be opportunities for plays by Edwards. I think he'll continue to improve.

Brian Robison has at times taken reps from Edwards, but Robison was just injured... I'm not sure of the severity of the injury, but it could mean more playing time for Edwards.
