All the voters are on the east coast, and nobody stayed up to watch that game.
Plus they don't want to set the precedent that the award automatically goes to whoever lines up against Oakland. I think I could have gotten a sack in that game.

Still Oakland is an NFL team, Merriman was a BEAST.I wouldnt of put Lewis even in the running to be honest. His name gets him these things, not that he played bad but there are multiple players who did better thigns for their team then Ray.
He played a team with no offensive line. As bad as playing Oakland. LOL!

That makes me wonder if SD's defense is that good or if Oakland is that bad. I'm sure there are other threads discussing this.I drafted the SD defense because I follow them and knew they would have a bunch of sacks and be better than the previous years. But, I really don't think Oakland is as bad as they looked on Monday--some credit has to be given to the D.but I would have had 2. Who?Is he an overhyped MLB playing on a team with 6-7 superstar defensive players around him? Just smith hm.... no obligatory Super Bowl MVP? An Outspoken Defensive player with some gay pregame dance?Nope. Amith wont get it... let the guy with 7 tackles and 1 sack get it. LMAO. I think Justin needs to find a dance and speak out when the players around him don't make him that good.
This was somewhat my point for posting about him. It always seems these things go to the best Pro Bowl player for the week. There are other guys out there that should at least be considered, some you have never heard of.As for the recv yards allowed for LJ, most came towards the end of the game and you can't really blame a pass rushing DE for those.
