Ray Lewis (1 Viewer)

They unfortunately showed that game here in Philly, watched it after the Eagles and pretty sure he was in street clothes. Missed the 1st qtr of the colts/bengals b/c it went to a long OT :hot:

I watched the entire game (and just got rid of the headache from this stench-fest).Lewis did not play, and was shown several times in street clothes. The stat credit is a mistake.

MFL is reporting he may be listed as questionable for this coming week and the coach is pleased with his progress. With Zach Thomas out, I'll probably need him!

This just confirms what we already knew about the Ravens--the official scorers grossly inflate Lewis's tackls numbers. If he gets tackles when he doesn't even play, imagine the numbers he'll put up when he comes back. Get him now if you can!

Reed and Lewis both OUT again this week - though I should probably wait until the NFL Injury report comes out to boldly make that statement.

Here's the latest on Lewis:Ravens | R. Lewis could miss rest of 2005Wed, 23 Nov 2005 15:32:53 -0800Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports with each week, there is an increased chance that Baltimore Ravens LB Ray Lewis (ankle) could miss the rest of the season with the team out of the playoff picture. Lewis could be out from 1-to-2 weeks or the rest of the season. RAPTURE

Ravens | R. Lewis misses practice, downgradedFri, 2 Dec 2005 14:18:49 -0800Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens LB Ray Lewis (thigh) did not practice Friday, Dec. 2, was downgraded to doubtful, and will not play in Week 13.

Per Rotoworld:Ray Lewis could miss the rest of the season with a partially torn hamstring.Lewis received a second opinion in Miami this weekend that apparently recommended surgery. Lewis reportedly wants a contract extension, but he's lucky the Ravens will continue to pay him his high salary considering his production this season. You guys kick ###. I was *just* going to ask if Polley was a guy I should stick with myself.Guess Polley is now a fill in for my defense. Thank you, Ray Lewis!

I'm probably alone with this opinion, but I think Bart Scott is the better play. He probably won't get as many tackles as Polley, but he does seem to have more sack opportunities. Because of this I think Scott has a better chance at having monster games than Polley. But Scott is a higher-risk, higher-reward type of play compared to Polley. You can count on Polley to get you 10 atk/tk, but that's probably it. Scott could get you 10 atk/tk, plus a few sacks.Obviously your league scoring system will have a big impact on this decision.Any one else have an opinion?

Then again, after doing a little research, Polley would be the better play this week against Denver. But it looks like very few LBs in a similar scheme to BAL have done very well against Denver this entire year. Vilman and Trotter. But I still like Scott for the high-risk high-reward after this week.

I added Polley in both my leagues 4 weeks ago when Farrior was dinged. He's been a solid play every week. I haven't even put Farrior back in the starting lineup since he's returned. I dangled Polley to the Zach Thomas owner in my league but he wouldn't bite.

anymore updates on rayray? i've seen conflicting reports on him and wasn't sure if anyone had any updated info? thanks ahead of time

Adalius Thomas appears to be putting up some better numbers than Polley. I know that they came with a fumble recovery and an INT for a touchdown, but last week he put in some solid numbers against Denver. He looks to be pretty stable in stats the past 5 years, but I have never seen him actually play.Anybody watching the Baltimore games that could shed some light on Thomas? With Cato out, I am looking to pick Thomas up or be forced to play Derrick Johnson who has been cold since his fast start.
