Ray Rice video of KO punch released (1 Viewer)

Is this over now, he has been released. His income has suffered. You want to get on him for hitting his wife, which is fine, but want him fired so he cant support here. American justice.

Now give him the death penalty and everyone will be happy.

So now no one can complain, they got what they wanted.
Right or wrong, we will see how many teams come knocking at his door when the RB1's start getting injured in a few weeks once the storm has passed.................

I think the players in Rice's own locker room had more of an impact than this message board. He lost the support of his teammates. That's a big deal.

ridiculous

not thinking someone belongs as a media representative for a billion dollar company is a far cry form thinking they shuld get the death penalty

he has suffered consequences for his actions, the market spoke

Good riddance you POS .

Now, Mr. Goodell, you my friend, have some splainin to do.
Yes, the next question is will this be enough of a splash to allow for Goodell's and Peter King's problems to blow over.
Do you think they care what people on a message board think about them? Are you not gonna watch football because of them?

No, so give it a rest already.

I might have to add him off waivers once he's dropped. Josh Gordon is getting lonely on my bench. These two should hit it off splendidly.

I've got breaking news for you false, Goodell does have a problem, and it's not with message boards, it's with all the companies that spend money with the NFL.

They ALL. Have women in prominent positions in them and won't look favorably with spending their capital with entities that look lightly on abuse of women.

Next year maybe...I can't imagine any team willingly step into this #### storm right now.

It wasn't that. Once "Tom In Albany" cut and suspended him from his FF league it was inevitable that the Baltimore Ravens would follow suit.

He signed a 5yr contract with $25M guaranteed. Not sure the Ravens can get out of that unless there was some clause. He'll have plenty of money.

Wow, no way should he have been released. Overreaction at it's finest.
Typical American justice.

Make him pay for his mistake with everything he has, go away a year, and he will be back and everyone cheering him as a changed man in a comeback story.

If there was no video, it would be no big deal, see every other domestic case in league history and all other domestic violence cases.

I agree with this. Yes he deserved a harsher suspension but not getting cut. I wonder if the NFL had suspended him for 8 games or so this year instead of giving him a slap on the wrist if he'd still be employed with the Ravens.

She did hit him first.......
I don't have time to read the 12 pages in this thread already, but it is as simple as this. I am quoted in other threads that this video will come out eventually and that it will show that she assaulted him first. This video from TMZ has be HIGHLY ALTERED to make Ray Rice look worse. She assaulted him first but they fudged that portion of the video. Let's hope Ray can land on a team like the Colts.

No way he gets signed to another team, rt? What organization is going to want to jump into this sh*tstorm?

Maybe next year he gets signed somewhere.

There's an overwhelming chance Goodell survives, but there's a high probability that he will take some very public hits on this that are bigger than anything he's dealt with so far.

IF he signs with another team after week two, does he still need to sit out another week for his NFL suspension?

Gotta be schtick, right?

All right, please defend this comment.

I say he has to be released because no team can tolerate having one of it's most prominent stars punching and knocking out a woman on video for the world to see. Keeping such a player on your team under such circumstances would result in boycotts, corporate withdrawal of funds, 100% distraction from football, etc. Once the video was released, there was no choice for the Ravens but to release him.

Your response?

They HAD to release him. They didn't do it bc of moral reasons. They did it bc after this video leaked keeping him was bad for business. Boycotts would have ensued and empty seats in the stands don't bode well for business. It was a PR nightmare.

If the ravens REALLY cared about doing the "right" thing, they would have cut his ### back in february when they KNEW that he knocked her out cold. They certainly didn't need a video of it to realize what that means. lol

they should be obliged to keep him on regardless of how bad it is for business, because it is unfair for his life to be destroyed for knocking out a woman one time.

(extreme sarcasm)

DON'T SAY HIT!
Hmm...you're right...smack some sense into my bench? No, that won't work, either. Elevate my players to new heights? No...elevators aren't good right now. Provide the punch in the arm that they need...nope. Jolt them into...assault the opposition with...

Oh, well.

You had me at elevate :lmao:

As I said in the FFA thread what did the video show that wouldn't have already been assumed?

She was knocked out. This is even more embarrassing for the Ravens that they had to see the video to do this.

Good thing Ray Lewis killed those people before twitter.

No. TMZ jacked this video up with rewinds and skips. Did you watch the video?

Definitely not this year. Maybe next but it will be tough. That video is going to follow him around forever and it really makes him look like a POS.

It's much different to hear "she got punched" than to actually see it for yourself. Plus, a lot of his defenders said he was defending himself while the video shows without any doubt he was the antagonizer.
