He apparently practiced today (limited).

Kinda similar to what Mac Jones has been doing?Harris made a brief appearance at practice and did not do very much today, per beat writer reports. And he bugged out early. I don’t believe he participated in team activities or ran any plays. I don’t see any way he suits up against Cleveland. Harris doing anything at practice is a good sign, but it still could be a multi-game injury. How productive Stevenson is will likely be a factor in how quickly they bring Harris back.
BB hasn't really shown a propensity to go all in on one RB. He did one season with Dillon 15+ years ago and another time with Blount. In Blount's case, their other backs were banged up, so they gave him a huge workload more out of necessity. I still think RS gets a big chunk of the workload this week. BB will probably do his usual and list Harris as questionable and make him a GTD. He might even have him active . . . and could barely use him. I also think RS will see the majority share the following week against the Jets (just not the crazy number of touches and snaps he's seen the past couple of weeks). At that point, NE will likely reassess how things are going and then recalibrate. We may see Stevenson start to get more touches than he was getting (pre-Harris injury), with Harris retaining more of the goal line work. That would probably even out their fantasy value. But that is likely a few games away before they figure out what they are going to do with the backfield. I would guess Harris walks after the season and Stevenson does become the huge majority shareholder in the NE backfield, but that's an eternity from now. They certainly could draft, sign, or trade for another back by then, which obviously would take away from the value of RS.Figures that Coach Belichick is going to ruin Stevenson fun for investors, we got a 1 week window to see the potential possibilities of an all Rhamondre back field, liked the returns on that.
Hopefully nothingwhat are we expecting?
Harris will be more TD dependent, but will get carries. His first game back and they got blown out; I wouldn’t read too much into it. Ramondre is clearly the starter but Harris should get touché too
It’s Wednesday and not something to be concerned about. RS is clearly the better player but Harris will still get touchesHarris did not participate in practice today with an illness. Given that he is returning from a hamstring injury and has seen his role reduced with the emergence of Rhamondre Stevenson, missing practice will not help his cause any.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Damien Harris (illness) is "unlikely to play" Week 9 against the Colts.
Harris "only" has an illness, but he managed just one limited practice all week. His stamina and conditioning must not be up to coach Bill Belichick's standards. Harris' absence means another top-eight green light for Rhamondre Stevenson against a strong Colts run defense, but one that should face torrents of plays as the Colts likely struggle to keep the ball with Sam Ehlinger under center. Rookie Pierre Strong, who is listed with a hamstring injury, seems like the next man up behind Stevenson. New England is on bye in Week 10, so there is almost zero chance Harris misses more than one game.

Are you playing against Stevenson and hoping for this or did you see something that would indicate Harris will receive more work?Cleared to play and getting the lion's share of the work this week?
Hey the dude who scored 4 tds and ran for 200 yards was banished for the rest of his carreer because he didnt get his phone plugged in right and missed a team meeting. No amount of explaining got him out of BBs doghouse.Missed practice again today with an illness. Worth monitoring. Ask Malcolm Butler what happens when you miss practice when you're sick.

It really seems like Stevenson has simply passed him on the depth chart.Anyone know why Harris played so little yesterday? Just a preference for Stevenson? He appears to have been effective in his chances.
What are you asking?Anyone know why Harris played so little yesterday? Just a preference for Stevenson? He appears to have been effective in his chances.
Huh? They didn't split carries yesterday, nor did Harris get plenty of carries throughout the game. Harris got 8 carries all game (vs 15 for Stevenson) and he didn't touch the ball on their last 3 possessions. It's a legit question, especially considering Harris averaged 8.1 ypc vs 1.7 for Stevenson. What are you asking?Anyone know why Harris played so little yesterday? Just a preference for Stevenson? Are you aware what RS was doing when Harris was hurt?
They split carries yesterday and RS is the preferred passing option which gives him a higher ceiling than Harris
Harris got plenty of carries throughout the game, it's a split back field
@Anarchy99 has explained the dynamic with these 2 RBs repeatedly
The question you want to task today is what is the state of the OL? Center-Andrews might be done for the season, that's not good.
Stevenson had mostly excelled while Harris was OUT or nursing injuries, would you not agree?

Damien Harris was on crutches in the locker room after leaving the Patriots' Week 12 loss to the Vikings with a thigh injury.
Harris went down with a thigh injury in the third quarter of the losing effort. He was initially listed as questionable to return but was later ruled out. Pierre Strong was active as New England's third back for this game but did not see a snap. Rhamondre Stevenson handled every snap and touch for the Pats after Harris went down. If Harris is out for Week 13, Stevenson will have 20-touch upside and could be in line for a top-five ranking at his position.

Harris left the game with a thigh injury, was in a great deal of pain in the locker room, couldn’t get pants on initially, and left the stadium on crutches. We’ve seen several times this year where NE players had initial injuries that weren’t as bad as initially reported, but it sounds like Harris will be unlikely to play next week.Stevenson had 9 catches for over 70 yds
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Damien Harris (thigh) is not expected to play on Thursday against the Bills.
Rapoport said the Pats consider Harris week to week, indicating he will miss more than just New England's Thursday game versus the Bills. Rhamondre Stevenson has been dominant in games without Harris this year. That has happened twice. His PPR points per game jumps from 16 with Harris to 21 without his counterpart. He should push for RB1 fantasy numbers until Harris returns to the lineup.

He's destined to go somewhere else next year and muddy up another RBBC.This dude is RIP- not sure what happened to him but it's a contract year and he's ****ting the bed all over the place.
Damien Harris (thigh) won't play in Week 13 against the Bills.
Harris did not practice at all this week and was reported to be out for Week 13 as early as Monday, so this isn't much more than paperwork. Rhamondre Stevenson will claim the entire backfield to himself versus Buffalo. With no competition for touches, Stevenson will project as a mid-range RB1 despite the difficult matchup. Even if the Pats go down early, Stevenson will parlay his elite role in the receiving game into a solid performance via receptions.

Hope this isn't what his father told him as he was writhing in pain from an injury that is preventing him from playing. This dude is RIP- not sure what happened to him but it's a contract year and he's ****ting the bed all over the place.
Looks like he didn't practice yesterday, so my guess is it's not looking good for Monday unless he progresses rapidly the next few days.Any guesses on when this guy will be back? I have a couple RBs on bye but don't want to take Harris off IR until I have to. Playing Monday and him being a Pat helps not when it comes to info.
Yeah I was just going to use him in a final flex spot but I'll just keep him in free parking IR instead.Looks like he didn't practice yesterday, so my guess is it's not looking good for Monday unless he progresses rapidly the next few days.Any guesses on when this guy will be back? Problem is that Stevenson has been really playing well, so it's hard to count on Harris going forward unless he manages to get in the end zone a few times.
Damien Harris (thigh) remain sidelined for Thursday's practice.
It puts Harris on the wrong side of questionable to return for Monday evening's game against the Cardinals after he missed Week 13. Of course, this being the Patriots, we may not get a truly accurate sense of Harris' status until Saturday's final injury report. We certainly wouldn't be counting on him as an RB2/3 for the final week of the fantasy regular season.

You haven’t seen my rosterI get that people are desperate and may have some players on their roster banged up, but I don't see Harris being a viable solution. For a touchdown dependent fantasy back, the last time Harris scored a TD was in Week 4. This is Week 14. He's had more than 40 yards rushing in a game once in that time (and he only accomplished that with a 30-yard run where no one touched him near the LOS against the Jets or he would have been back under 40 yards).
From Week 5 on, his weekly fantasy ranking has been: 64, DNP, 57, 45, DNP, 21, 72, DNP. In the last two games he played, he saw 11 and 15 snaps (and also had games with 6 and 9 snaps before that). Harris' history has been that he hasn't played when he hasn't practiced, and if he finally showed up for a final walk through, NE hardly played him. Oh, and the Patriots last rushing TD was 6 games ago (which is hurting Rhamondre Stevenson too).
Harris has not participated in practice at all since his thigh injury (including today). I would be surprised if he played. I expect that they will rule him out before the game, but the game is on MNF. Hopefully they do that before Sunday.I still think he’s a decent dynasty stash, but getting tougher to use an active roster spot on him. Hopefully they declare him out well before gameday like they have done in recent weeks.
