RB Kevin Smith (shoulder) practiced for the second straight day Friday and coach Jim Schwartz said he's hopeful Smith will play Sunday at Seattle.

Smith (shoulder) practiced again Friday, leaving coach Jim Schwartz "optimistic" that Smith will play against Seattle on Sunday, the Detroit News reports.

Recommendation: The Lions have a late afternoon kickoff Sunday, so you likely won't have the luxury of making a lineup swap if Smith is a surprise inactive. However, the chances of that are slim. Smith should be ready to go, though Maurice Morris may cut into his carries a bit.
