Redraft or startup dynasty? In play for me at #4 overall, RB#1. Talent, situation, workload, schedule, Oline. Please talk me out of it. It feels dangerous.

My counter to the capable backs on the roster/workload argument is that Jerry Jones has incentive to showcase this selection. I am not expecting or wanting a Demarco Murray workload. But to skip all the glaring defensive needs they have to draft a guy that high..he is going to get the rock.HTH
- He hasn't had a single carry in the preseason, this is either the hammy injury is more serious than let on or he is not ready (old man Forte is already back and probably going to play in the preseason this week)
- He is a rookie
- There are two other capable backs on the roster
- Why would Dallas rush him back? Morris is likely going to be good enough for a while. First 3-4 weeks could be low volume.
- Is Elliot going to know the pass protection after not being a full participant in practice?
- Recency bias with Gurley is clouding reason here. The Rams had nobody else on there roster that is good and any position in the offense. Not the case for Dallas.
- The Dallas Defense could be terrible and they could be forced to throw more than expected.
- Dallas had a time share to start last season and only went away from it due to injury. Wouldn't be surprised to see the same this year.
You are right that Jones is like a 12 year old playing Madden on the XBOX. He would give the ball to Elliot or Dez every play. Luckily for the team, cooler heads should prevail (maybe??)My counter to the capable backs on the roster/workload argument is that Jerry Jones has incentive to showcase this selection. http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/339571/report-elliott-reported-to-camp-overweight?ls=roto:NFL:topheadlinesMMQB's Albert Breer reports the Cowboys had "some concern" when Ezekiel Elliott reported to training camp at 231 pounds before pulling his hamstring.
231 is only six pounds heavier than Elliott's 225-pound Combine weigh-in, but it still wasn't ideal. Breer also said Zeke "worked off some of that weight" before suffering the injury. "As a player, I loved him to death," one NFL scout told Breer. "He’s the highest graded back I’ve ever done. He does everything well—running, catching, pass pro. But as far as going to Dallas, the bright lights, big city, I’ve always thought it could be tough for him. He likes football. He also likes everything that goes along with being a star." Elliott could silence some of his critics by turning in a big preseason game Thursday night against the Seahawks.
Oh greatHe looks great running and pass blocking. Just to cool things off, TMZ has a video of him at a weed store in Seattle before the game.
maybe he was buying some RoundUpHe looks great running and pass blocking. Just to cool things off, TMZ has a video of him at a weed store in Seattle before the game.
As per the article, herbal shop and not a marijuana shop, and he was confirmed in the article to not have made a purchase. Took some photos with fans. Sounds like a non-story, but if I'm the Cowboys I close the door and tell him to get his head out of his behind, just in terms of public perception.Oh great
It was a place to buy marijuana. If you want call it an herbal ship, ok. Same difference. It's probably no big deal IMO, but I want everyone in my league to see it.As per the article, herbal shop and not a marijuana shop, and he was confirmed in the article to not have made a purchase. As I watch T Williams interview.....I think you got them confused because he sounds like he's been smoking! He looks great running and pass blocking. Just to cool things off, TMZ has a video of him at a weed store in Seattle before the game.
He #####ed up Kam twice. Lol
Maybe. Game wasn't on national tv and he's still a rookie who was hurt. Some might miss how good he was. Some people just won't draft a rookie. Also the 0 RB is hot right now so some just won't take a RB.whats the latest he goes now? 5?
He certainly didn't avoid contact did he. Its fun to watch runners like that. That being said, Morris is going to be on a bunch of my benches this year.Nitpicking obviously but he ran very physical and took some major contact got just a few carries. I love it but I also don't if that makes sense.
I wonder if that's how he will run in the NFL or if he was just fired up to play for the first time, but he ran like Lynch or Rawls. I didn't see that as much in college. There he seemed more interested in creating an angle to win with speed. He certainly didn't avoid contact did he. Its fun to watch runners like that. Looked like he had a chip on his should or something to prove. Good effort for his first game though. I don't like reading to much into a hand full of carries in the preseason, but he at least looks healthy.I wonder if that's how he will run in the NFL or if he was just fired up to play for the first time, but he ran like Lynch or Rawls. Cam Chancelor tries to kill shot Elliot but loses the collision, he almost lost his feet while Elliot was able to continue the play.I wonder if that's how he will run in the NFL or if he was just fired up to play for the first time, but he ran like Lynch or Rawls. I've been fighting this hype train but I'm sold. That's a legit D and he looked studly. ZEKE FOR PRESIDENT!
After Chancellor cheap-shotted him on an incomplete pass, too.Love his spin move to break a tackle against Kam Chancellor.
Crown him.
does he automatically start in Stage 2 for the pot shop visit? This guy hasn't played a down yet in a real NFL game and he's already beaten up a chick and been seen in a pot shop. Buyer beware.
Did you see the game? The camera at one point move away from Zeke and Cam. After the cheap shot from Cam, Zeke charged him up. Cam started talking #### and Zeke raised his hands and told him to bring it. Then the very next play is the spin move you see from Zeke.Cam Chancelor tries to kill shot Elliot but loses the collision, he almost lost his feet while Elliot was able to continue the play.
Defenders better learn to wrap up or Elliot is going to make them look silly.
There are conflicting reports about the altercation between him and the girlfriend. I believe that where there's smoke there's fire.didn't beat up a chick = lie
not a pot store, herbal Chinese remedy stores = lie
c'mon, you gotta bring more than that to dethrown the #1 FF RB in Ezekiel Elliot ...
Like the word play here. (....where there's smoke there's fire...)There are conflicting reports about the altercation between him and the girlfriend. I believe that where there's smoke there's fire.
And I'm assuming you're just playing stupid about the herb store. Not even worthy of a real reply.
No just the highlights, so I missed the extra curricular activities.Did you see the game? The camera at one point move away from Zeke and Cam. After the cheap shot from Cam, Zeke charged him up. It was really obvious watching that Zeke started going after Cam when he got the ball I think that's why the Cowboys put him on the bench plus they saw enough no need to keep him out there.
Tex
Wow, that seems like a terrible trade to meI cant be for certain this info helps anyone..
However, I traded Antonio Brown for both Zeke and John Brown
I offered Brown and was rejected (dynasty). I was shocked honestly, maybe I shouldn't be.I cant be for certain this info helps anyone..

Stud. Those 3 plays in a row (edited like that I believe) with Kam are great. Guy is legit. Great blitz pickup as well.
