RB Hunter Luepke, DAL (1 Viewer)

I am so ready to love this guy as the second coming of Alstott.

With Pollard smallish and Vaughn tiny, I think it's quite possible he's Dallas' goal-line back or short yardage back. Malik Davis will surely want to eat here too.

Do you have any expectations for this guy?

Pollard is 210, I don't see any reason to think he'll be pulled at the goal line. Maybe Luepke makes some noise there if Pollard goes down I guess.

Hunter Luepke is getting more attention as a potential Dallas value RB for later in the year...
He got 4 touches vs NYG 2 carries 8 yards and 2 rec on 2 targets for 14 yards
For the year, 6 rec / 7 targets for 73 yards ...
This a SF "Kyle Juszczyk" kind of role? Big receiving RB type of nuance?

I am putting in a low bid & dropping Carson Steele ... so there is that...
He was featured on a "deep Dart" Waiver article

Deep sleeper of the year. Big/strong, decent speed, very good receiver, and an underrated runner.

I think you would've heard more about him coming out if FBs were more a part of modern offenses, but they seem to be making a comeback. Might be a guy I drop fairly soon (we'll see), but you could do worse with your last roster spot.

Luepke is their best RB, IMO. Whether he gets a legit chance is another matter.

I've liked him a while and was surprised of the bump.
The game changed to smaller faster LBs and RBs take all these slashing runs and....I've long said there's still a place for Chubb and Henry to run over these guys.

Leupke is more Alstott like and at most is probably in a share. I think Steele is relegated to some variation of this now with Hunt back.

It's been since Tiki and Jacobs Thunder and Lightning that it's worked. Titans had Henry and Spears just last year. The defense can put subs in that really aren't the right type depending which back it is. It happens due to coaching or injuries or just roster build.

I think there's always going to be a place for a back that is willing to play rough, likes the tough ones, and that dishes out his own hits.

Belichick was somewhat wrong but he said similar years ago as to why they drafted their LB Anfernee whatshisname. He needed size available.

Reid is awful for FF and often has been, but he's gonna get a run game going if he has to use eight backs. Dallas has been kidding themselves since claiming they didn't necessarily need Henry in the spring. They've got little choice now but to play the hot hand and rotate.

Long-winded sorry but I like Leupke still just I think we'll find a share and very TD dependent. Maybe they draft their Tiki or Warwick Dunn next year
