RB Jaret Patterson, LAC (1 Viewer)

Jaret Patterson rushed 12 times for 57 yards and a touchdown in Washington's Week 17 loss to the Eagles, adding five catches for 41 yards.

With both Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic out for this game, Washington turned their backfield over to Patterson. He didn't disappoint, securing all five of his targets after netting an early touchdown from 11 yards out. He out-carried his backups 12-6 and led all Football Team running backs in targets. Gibson is on the COVID list and should return for Week 18 so Patterson's time as the team's RB1 is seemingly over. If Gibson doesn't clear COVID protocols before next week, Patterson will be a solid FLEX option versus the Giants.

Chargers beat writers saying Jaret Patterson has the inside track at RB3, and that Kimani Vidal could get cut.

Both were small-school RBs with minimal draft capital invested. I know Patterson hasn't done anything since, but he was the far more exciting prospect to me.

In Patterson's final season at Buffalo, there was a two-game stretch where he totaled 710 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. (Across two games!)

“Jaret Patterson has impressed the coaching staff, and he appears to have grasped the RB3 role right now. Of the four backs competing behind Edwards and Dobbins, Patterson has gotten the most reps with the first team in practice. He was also the first running back in the game Saturday, ahead of both Spiller and Dotson. Dobbins and Edwards, the veterans, did not suit up. Vidal was in uniform for warmups but did not dress for the game.”
