RB Jordan Howard , NO (1 Viewer)

I don't think anyone is arguing that Cohen is going to take over the backfield. It's turned into a 50/50 split and the problem is Howard can't do enough with 15 touches due to has limited play making ability to be anymore than a flex play. Cohen is dynamic enough to have an impact with 15 touches. Even in redraft Cohen is the more valuable of the 2 going forward and I don't think it's going to change.
Oh there's no question Cohen has been more dynamic. And he's been durable to this point. I just don't think he will hold up with 15 touches a game in the NFC North. But start him if you got him in PPR against the Pats and for as long as he stays healthy.

he is not even startable.  If you have this guy in your lineup you;re not winning games.  He was a second round pick.  BUST.
6-0 in a highly competitive big-money 12-team league and have started Howard every game. Most PF too. I'm seeing this through. I think his usage increases as the cold months descend on Chicago.

I'm 5-1.  Started him every week. Got him in round 3

i guess this week against BUF seems about as good of a game script for him as possible, no?  He was on my bench, but now this Carson injury has me thinking that is too risky.

Didn't they just lose their starting center? That has me pretty worried about Howard.

Was really excited when I was able to pull off a trade for him several weeks ago, lol.
Tried selling him all last week after 80 yards and a TD. Kept getting "stop trying to sell me your trash" messaging back.

Hoping he stumbles into the endzone a couple times. Give it one more shot this week.

Cut him for Henry. He's cost me for the last time. Lost by 1.3 when I played this bum over Golloday because of me banking on "predicted game flow." Guy is an absolute stiff. I've seen John Deer riding mowers with more elusiveness than him.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Bears are shopping Jordan Howard via trade.

Howard is a one-dimensional early-down back entering the final year of his contract. He was fine with a 260-970-9 rushing line while averaging just over 3.7 YPC, but Howard just doesn't seem to fit the way coach Matt Nagy likes to call a game. Tarik Cohen is deserving of more work, and Nagy likely prefers backs that can contribute in all phases. At one point last year, there were rumors the Dolphins were interested in Howard. He wouldn't bring back anything more than a late pick.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports trade discussions for Jordan Howard are "ongoing."

Per Schefter, "multiple teams" approached the Bears about a trade at the Combine. A predictably poor fit for coach Matt Nagy's offense last year, Howard suffered through an inconsistent, ineffective season. Howard's problem is that he does not catch passes, making him a poor fit for the majority of modern NFL systems.

Bears trading RB Jordan Howard to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 6th-round pick in 2020 that can become a 5th-round pick, league source tells ESPN.

Rotoworld take:

Eagles acquired RB Jordan Howard from the Bears in exchange for a 2020 sixth-round pick.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, it is a conditional pick that can become a sixth-rounder. It is not the lightest compensation, but it is certainly light. Howard now immediately slots in as the early-down leader in the Eagles' ever-crowded backfield. A complete zero as a pass catcher, Howard's job will be to grind between the tackles. Going on 25, Howard has seen his yards per carry slip from 5.2 as a rookie to 4.1 and 3.7 over the past two years. There will be no shortage of players waiting in the wings if he falters. As he was last year, Howard will be a low-floor RB2 in Philadelphia.

Eagles were missing a bruiser since Blount left.  With resigning Agholor, Eagles should continue to demand safety over the top.  Means less stacked in the box.

I see it as a good move by the Eagles to get a veteran piece necessary for offense to function properly.

When was the last time a RB was traded for so little that ended up being fantasy relevant?  Serious question.  I don't keep track of when a player is traded vs when they were a FA.

I can't think of one.  I also can't think of a rb of his age and stats that was traded like this

M Lynch(Bills) was traded to Seattle for a 4th and a conditional pick(5th).
M Lynch and a 6th was traded to the Raiders for a 5th.

I might be wrong, but I thought when Howard was doing awesome he was running a lot of outside zone type plays.

A lot better talent on the Eagles and less competition for touches is good. Tho it's not encouraging imo if he's used in the same manner as last year.
