RB Jordan Mason, SF (3 Viewers)

I would’ve been right if not for that pesky CMC trade. CMC might not make it the whole season this time. Mason season!
So you’re wishing CMC misses the season?
Injury? No.

Quitting football to live a life dedicated to spreading the word of kazoo music? Absolutely.
Or CMC joins the Church of Scientology and becomes best buds with Tom Cruise and they disappear together into the Amazon jungle to recruit new members from the local tribes and are never heard from again. Then Mason becomes the new #1 RB in SF.

I think my thetans just moved.

Seems like the majority of leagues will not be able to take advantage of this week 1. Seems like you would need to have CMC and Mason as your handcuff this week. The Monday night game is too risky to think about rolling Mason as a flex or based off Jets roster in my opinion.

Probably just playing games with the Jet’s, I would be surprised if McCaffrey does not resume his full workload for MNF. That being said, CMC owners better have Mason on their roster this year.

given cmac’s injury history, I doubt they’re playing games here….Mason in for a monster season

A limited Friday practice for an upcoming Monday game makes this less concerning imo. No need to push the stud vet, play it safe and let him loose come game time.

Struggling to figure out if I should drop shakir for Mason . . .

I really want to see if shakir is the top WR in Buffalo. Mason likely will do nothing, but . . . If this injury is something more concerning. . . .

CMAC broke the injury seal before even playing the first snap and is almost guaranteed to miss time this year. I like Shakir’s upside, but Mason has league winning potential in that dynamic O

I’ve stopped believing any injury reports before game 1.

Mixon reportedly had a quad injury all camp & preseason which ended up being “wrap him in bubble wrap so we can win the AFC South”

3.7 yards at a time

The NFL changed the reporting requirements for injuries this year. Limited simply means that McCaffrey didn’t participate in everything he normally normally would have.

I don’t think this really means anything as far as further concern about McCaffrey. I mean, your superstar working his way back from a calf strain probably shouldn’t participate in 100% of practice. Much ado about nothing IMO, at least as far the “limited” designation and as it relates to “should I start Mason this week.”

Rut-roh! Achilles?!?!?!? Fire up your Masons!

RB Christian McCaffrey (calf/Achilles) will be limited in today’s practice.

Yikes.

Didn’t say it at the time as I was hoping it wasn’t the case here but when the calf news initially came out he immediately became a DND for me (at his price of course, obv there’s a point I’d have taken him) because I had the interview with Richard Sherman when he blew his Achilles and was talking about having noticed calf soreness immediately beforehand

RB Christian McCaffrey (calf/achilles) on the practice field again Friday. Seems to be moving at full speed with no issue. We’ll hear from him a bit later on.

Later on:

Christian McCaffrey said his calf/Achilles is “not a concern for me.”

Well I have Mason on my bench and can't play him. I had a lousy week across the board except for Cooper Kupp. Currently up 32.9 with my opponent starting Breece and Moody tonight. Sure wish I was able to plug in Mason tonight.

Oh well, at least I'm not the CMC Manager

I know this is a Mason thread, but anyone have any idea what the scoop is on Patrick Taylor Jr? He seems to be the 3rd string after mason.

Took CMC in the Footballguys Bowl Contest. 1.01. Mason at 15.01, calculated risk. Sweated from 13.01 through 2 full rounds. Not sweating now.

Drafted Mason in a high-stakes local, after the CMC manager failed to take him at 11.02, thinking he'd make it back to himself at 12.11.

Standard League, and I'm chasing points. Have Breece (and Moody). I'm not debating a swap...but I could...

Scanning CMC Owner's Roster to see what I can extort out of him tomorrow.

Oh, well. You snooze, you lose.

Are y’all taking him over the backs like Ford, Hubbard, Zeke, Chandler, etc?
Ford - hell no
Hubbard - also no
Zeke - probably yes.
Chandler - also no.
Welp, now I wish I took him over Hubbard lol
Be kind to yourself, at the time that would have been an objectively bad pick. We all thought he was going to lead the Panthers in opportunity at least until Brooks came back. No one saw 1) Miles Sanders being a factor or 2) that bad of an ### kicking.

tried to warn people…Mason is a league winner
