RB McGahee Has New Injury, Fails To Practice

Chris Brown, BuffaloBills.com - [Full Article]

Buffalo Bills RB Willis McGahee missed practice on Wednesday but not because of his three broken ribs. McGahee spoke with the media wearing a protective boot on his left ankle. "It's my prosthetic shoe," joked McGahee. "(The ankle) has been going on, but (the boot) is for precautionary reasons. That's all. It's nothing. No worries." McGahee, who says he'll be on the field when the Bills face the New York Jets on Sunday, is listed as questionable on the team's injury report.

My Summary

Wore a boot for precautionary reasons, missed a couple days practice + practiced a couple. Expected to play but anytime a player's wearing a boot I think there's some doubt.

John Clayton just reported that Willis is going to "try to give it a go" today.

But keep in mind he said that Foster would start last week.

I don't want to get too worked up over how someone not directly involved in the situation chose to say something, but 'try to give it a go' doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.

RB McGahee Plans To Play, May Be Limited

Mark Gaughan, Buffalo News - [Full Article]

RB Willis McGahee is battling a sore left ankle that kept him out of two days of practice this week. He desperately wants to play and said he plans to play. He will be evaluated in pregame warm-ups and likely will not be well enough to get 28 carries. "I'm pretty sure I'll be all right," McGahee said. "You can't be selfish out there and baby it. You just have to play." LINK

If you really think about it, well, the conclusion I came up with that was that Carolina wanted to start D. Williams and might go so far as to think that D. Williams gives them the best chance to win a game, In Buffalo it is impossible to imagine that they would think A. Thomas gives them the best chance to win.
If Buffalo ran the table (which they won't), they'd still be a big longshot to make the playoffs. McGahee is their meal ticket. They won't do anything stupid with him.

that's a pretty arbitrary statement.how many times do guys get 28 carries a game??

McGahee is out of the game. sitting on the sideline with his jersey off.

announcers said he threw up after his long TD run and is "not feeling well."

Just picked up some more carries. Feeling better after half-time?Wonder why he is throwing up? Too much pain-killer?
