As a Taylor owner I approve of this message.I would think Cleveland has to think about trading for Taylor. The running game is key to this offense, and they have the league's most 2nd most cap space.

Their offense might be a Pinto, if that's their plan. They seem to like Ford.I would think Cleveland has to think about trading for Taylor. The running game is key to this offense, and they have the league's most 2nd most cap space.
Tbh with Watson playing like this I’m not sure they’re a JT away from competing.Their offense might be a Pinto, if that's their plan. They seem to like Ford.I would think Cleveland has to think about trading for Taylor. Chubb is a joy to watch and an awesome guy off the field. Seeing these injuries to guys like him just makes me question why I even watch football.
Agreethis is what Chubb dodged the 1st time:
I don't think he's that lucky now. That hit was straight on the knee and IMHO a BS dirty hit.“When you see a knee hyperextend to that degree, rarely do you see that injury only result in a ligamentous injury,” said Dr. Mark Adickes, an orthopedic surgeon and former NFL offensive lineman. “Typically, an injury like that damages the peroneal nerve, which makes it so you can no longer lift your foot up.”

Of the last 15 years, I think he's the 2nd or 3rd most impressive runner I've watched.Very unfortunate, but if there's a silver lining, at least he had a great career after the horror injury at Georgia.
I really think Chubb pre-injury was one of the best RB talents I've ever seen, and he bounced back well the first time eventually.
Browns would have been much better off losing Watson than Chubb.Very unfortunate, but if there's a silver lining, at least he had a great career after the horror injury at Georgia.

I agree with you. I think the Browns would definitely be better off losing Watson than Chubb. I’ll probably get crucified for saying this—but I think that Cleveland would have been better off with Baker than Deshaun.Of the last 15 years, I think he's the 2nd or 3rd most impressive runner I've watched.Very unfortunate, but if there's a silver lining, at least he had a great career after the horror injury at Georgia.

1. Lynch
2. Peterson/Chubb
I know this will sound weird given what we know about QB/RB value, but I truly believe the Browns would have been much better off losing Watson than Chubb. Chubb was their leader and captain, and best offensive player. Browns may have just gone from a division contender to top-10 pick.
This was supposed to be the year. Great line, Good QB, and No Hunt…I seriously thought he had a legit shot to finish as overall RB1.
I don't think Minkah was trying to injure Chubb. The NFL efforts to reduce helmet to helmet contact is forcing the defenders to go low. This just seems like a freak accident.
Exactly. Players have been saying for years that the emphasis on avoiding hits to the head will lead to more leg injuries.I don't think Minkah was trying to injure Chubb. The NFL efforts to reduce helmet to helmet to contact is forcing the defenders to go low. This just seems like a freak accident.
As time passes, I become more appreciative of Adrian Peterson. There have been better receiving backs, but nobody in my lifetime other than maybe Barry was a better runner. Unbelievable talent. You see guys compared to him every once in a while and they just never have the same quality. It's the footwork. His feet never stopped moving. He was amazingly slippery in addition to the size and speed.Of the last 15 years, I think he's the 2nd or 3rd most impressive runner I've watched.Very unfortunate, but if there's a silver lining, at least he had a great career after the horror injury at Georgia.

Houston has their pick as well. i agree as well. it looks dirty cause of what happened but everything moves so fast out there and chubb is one of the strongest rbs in the league so you have to do what you can to take him down. to me it's just a freak accident. mikah's hit combined with chubb planting his foot at the moment of impact just created the worst case scenario for the leg to be caught. if the hit was just a little bit later or earlier it may not have happened and no one would think anything of it. just a horrible timing thingExactly. Nothing dirty about that hit.
Didn't see it.. but your post makes me kinda wanna look... through my hands though.I didn't see what happened in real time and I will never watch that replay in my life. Based on all of the comments, I'm horrified. The dark side of this violent game.

I watched it a few times (unfortunately) and I didn't see a dirty hit. He went low but, as mentioned, that happens all the time when defenders are forced to avoid going too high to the head. We get to see it in slow motion, but these strong mammoth guys are going like 100 miles per hour on each play in a very tight space, and injuries sadly happen.I don't think Minkah was trying to injure Chubb. The NFL efforts to reduce helmet to helmet contact is forcing the defenders to go low. This just seems like a freak accident.
I was actively avoiding anything that looked like a video and then someone got me with a screenshot randomly on a post. Definitely didn't want to see it either.Saw the injury by accident this morning -- I don't mind this being out there, but I'd rather not have it shoved in my face while I'm just trying to have some coffee and see what's going on in the world. Anyway, it is worse than I imagined and somehow worse than the Willis McGahee injury. It's actually more like Napolean McCallum only sideways. If you're the kind of person who actively dislikes seeing injuries, this is not a close call. You do not want to see this.
I feel bad for Browns fans who have been through a lot the last few years. I don't like some of the personnel moves this club has made, but the fans are just along for the ride on those things. Nothing ever seems to work out for this franchise.
I have to admit, the first thing I thought of was whether there was a Browns RB on the waiver wire. That's sad and I felt ashamed immediately. After i'd had 2 minutes to calm down from being pissed that his injury cost me a win, I realized just how selfish i'd been thinking like that and how something like this makes me want to quit FF altogether quite honestly. Here I am spitting nails because i'm going to lose my stupid fake football matchup while there's a dude on the ground just has his knee violently bent sideways and may not even play again. Prayers for a big recovery Mr Chubb, rooting for you.
Was in the stadium when the Lattimore one happened and thought of that immediatelyNah, McGahee isn’t the comp. It’s Marcus Lattimore. Willis was head on, Lattimore had the same side angle with multiple ligament tears and dislocation. Sean Livingston in the NBA also.
Sadly I think it pretty much ends his career. At least as we knew him. Real shame. Nothing but respect for Chubb.
Honestly, not going to watch it enough times to tell if it is dirty or not.Unfortunate, but not dirty.
We like the same type of running backs. Shame Lattimore never got in the league with his injuries, he was cut from this cloth.Of the last 15 years, I think he's the 2nd or 3rd most impressive runner I've watched.Very unfortunate, but if there's a silver lining, at least he had a great career after the horror injury at Georgia.

Yikes. Bengals-Rams next. Just sit Burrow.Last three regular season MNF games had the Hamlin incident, Rodgers achilles , and Chubb knee. Three potential career enders.
I'm getting queasy just thinking about what I would see, so I'm definitely going to passSaw the injury by accident this morning -- I don't mind this being out there, but I'd rather not have it shoved in my face while I'm just trying to have some coffee and see what's going on in the world.
