Free agent running back Onterrio Smith, suspended by the National Football League, has recently made the roster of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League, according to Blue Bombers general manager Brendan Taman. "Onterrio is getting geared up for some special teams work on Thursday and we'll move Charlie [Roberts] back to his tailback spot," Taman said. "Toronto's suspended NFL guy [Ricky Williams] gets all the accolades, but our suspended NFL guy, despite the baggage and the bad foot, is pretty darn good, too."

Would have been stupid by the Bombers to cut him simply due to his injury.

Charlie Roberts is the man in Winnipeg. Onterrio is going to have to do his time with special teams before he gets shot at RB. It appears the bombers have penciled Onterrio into a Mike Sellars type position.
