I would love to see him become a thing in DAL. He seems like a good kid. I love big sluggish power backs - league needs more of them.

Was a little surprised he went undrafted in my 12-team SF. I dropped ~8% of my FAAB on the 1st waiver run.

Solid comps - don’t love the Eddie Lacey comp just because of his career path, but he’s the right height/build to be an early down bruiser for Dallas. Let’s will that into existence.

Mafah isn’t your typical lumbering, big RB. This dude can move and has surprisingly loose hips for a 235-pounder.
Mafah is one of my favorite deep sleepers. Couldn’t ask for a better landing spot.

The way I see it: DAL will open camp with JaWill as the presumed starting RB. But if he looks like, well, JaWill, the door will be wide open for any of the backs in that room to seize a role.
In that situation, Mafah is my favorite of the bunch for early down work if JWill struggles. I know Blue has a little post-draft hype going, but at 5’9, 196 he screams COP / scat back to me.
I don’t believe Miles Sanders has his best football ahead, but hey, maybe he pulls off a comeback arc. Never say never.
Regardless, Mafah is the only big back on that team after JaWill, and his ADP is roughly “free”, so he’s my sleeper for DAL this year.
Or what will probably happen is it’s a 5-headed RBBC from hell because Dallas is a weird team.

Im in 2 total leagues. I own Javonte Williams in both. I think when all is said and done Williams leads this rb group in rushing yards and rb receiving yards. I just do. Im also old. I prefer to handcuff. I just cant figure out which one of these guys is the next man up if Williams misses time. My gut says they release Sanders because of this guy. He has looked the part in short clips.

That backfield is a mess. I roster Mafah in both my 16 team dynasty leagues because I could taxi him. If I couldn’t, I wouldn’t.

I keep hearing he may not survive roster cuts.
Then I look at the other RBs and watch his runs and think, “really?!”
If Dallas cuts him which they definitely should not, some teams will be interested no doubt.

Been a Cowboys fan since i was 6. I'm out as of this season. I just can't deal with the self-induced drama and BS anymore. Currently in the market for a new team. I almost left when Tom Landry was fired. Only watched one game the next year. Gradually came back and was glad I did. After a thirty year drought I feel for you. Hang in there.

I’m actually starting to suspect he’s not hurt but this is roster shenanigans.
