Look at Gurley 2 years ago.... great talent on a pedestrian offense, middling RB2 at best. Same Gurley, fast forward 2 years, he is all of a sudden the best of the best.
Just boils down to opportunity, play-calling, coaching and O-line.... and also a bit of individual talent. If you're on an NFL team, you are hyper talented, no matter what. Barner looked good with his touches last night too.
I guess the takeaway is that the Pats are still an ELITE offense that is going to score a ton with a good O line..... whoever gets 20+ touches in that backfield will be an RB 1. Sony hasn't done too much to really wow me..... they need to get him involved in the passing game and get him into open space.
