RB2: who do you want/hope for/target (1 Viewer)

I generally try to get a top RB and a top 10ish RB2 - last yr I landed Rudi and it worked out pretty well. In 06 my main targets are:

Rudi - un-flashy but likely safe/solid pick

Jackson - flashier upside, somewhat riskier, but I like the potential w/a more balanced attack

Jordan - good combined run/receive ability and (hopefully) improved O, including healthy Moss (?) and shouldn't be too pricey

I am not fired up about:

EJ - will be overpriced IMO

McGhee - O still sucks and thought he was overrated last year, hasn't changed

Barber - he proves me wrong every year but age has to catch up sooner or later - plus think he will cost more than worth in our auction lg

R Brown - just not a believer plus QB situation is bad

I don't see the same value at RB as I have seen in years past. I feel better getting a WR that I know is a #1 than a RB that may become part of a RBBC. That said, I'd take Westbrook as a #2 if I had one of the top 4(LJ, SA, LT2, Portis).

Slow night here BigRed.

I love LamJ, and if he is your #2 you're in great shape.

I love Westy in PPR.

CTaylor should do well. FWP has Top 10 potential and will be Rd 2 material.

I'm actually warming to the thought in a WCOFF-like scoring league of going RB - WR - WR - RB - RB.

The RB in 4 / 5 are likely to be Dunn / FTaylor / DAWilliams / LWhite caliber, which are all good quality #2s. The dropoff from Round 2 to 4 is rather minimal.

I like D Davis if he can come out of camp healthy. Otherwise, I think L Jordan is likely going to go too high, while Rudi always seems to slip a bit and is an attractive target for a #2 if he can be had. I am surprised by the bagging on R Brown though and I believe Culpepper will help him a lot to open up the field.

Love Dom... if that knee holds up. Westy should be good, especially in ppr leagues.

I like Kevin Jones alot, I really think he'll be a comeback player of the year candidate.

If you can have Rudi as your RB2 I assume this is an auction draft? Rudi is rock solid and really consistent. Last year he was great even if he was injured.

I guess it depends on where you draft. If toward the top of the draft, I'd be happy with maybe a Ronnie Brown toward the end of round 2. If toward the end of round 1, then a combo of say Cadillac and Lamont Jordan or Caddy/S. Jackson would be pretty solid. Based on our league's projected scoring, once you get down past Julius Jones and McGahee, there's a noticeable drop to the next tier.
