John Clayton just said that Turner should be able to play but may not be as explosive as normal. It will still be a GTD but all seems to be positive according to Clayton.

Per Rotoworld.com

Michael Turner (questionable, ankle) is expected to play Sunday, sources tell NFL.com's Steve Wyche.

Wyche is a reliable source as he used to cover the Falcons for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Turner will still test his ankle sprain in warmups, but Wyche says there were enough positive signs in practice that the Falcons consider him probable to play. Turner will start if he's active and Jason Snelling needs to be on benches. Nov. 28 - 6:32 pm et

Please keep me updated closer to kick off.

thanks

Yep, that's yesterday's news. I expect we will have to decide if it's worth the risk. If you have other great options take them over Turner is my advice. Otherwise, roll with Turner.

According to NFL.com, Falcons RB Michael Turner, who has been dealing with a high ankle sprain, is expected to play against Tampa Bay on Sunday. Turner will test his ankle during warmups before the game, but he has shown enough progress during practice this week that he is likely to play. It is not known if he would start if he is active, but that most likely would be the case. Jason Snelling would start if Turner does not with Jerious Norwood also getting carries. Turner, who was injured in Week 10 at Carolina and missed the Week 11 game at the Giants, was officially listed as questionable.

I know this may not be the correct place for this but it is very important info IMO if you're debating on whether or not to start/sit Snelling/Turner.

The Buccaneers have allowed 10 running backs to reach double digits in Fantasy points this year.

Mike Bell and Pierre Thomas combined for 167 rushing yards and two touchdowns last week against Tampa Bay, and Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams had 184 rushing yards and a touchdown in Week 10.

Snelling could lose some carries to Jerious Norwood, who is expected to return after being out the past five games with a hip injury, but Snelling's only deterrent would be Turner. If Turner remains out, then Snelling should be a quality Fantasy starter this week.

And even if Turner does come back, here's something to consider: The Panthers (DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart), Dolphins and Saints each had two running backs reach double digits in Fantasy points against the Bucs in the same game. That bodes well for Snelling to have a solid performance.

Start Snelling with confidence if you're thin at RB.

High ankle sprain my butt! No way he heals from that in a week.

Wanted Snelling in this juicy matchup, so now I have to look elsewhere.

Luckily I have options, however just not as attractive.

So... how can he recover this fast? Amazing, seeing how high ankle sprains have affected players in the past. Here is to garbage time. Hopefully, they are able to put this away early so Turner can rest his ankle a little more!

Mort just reported on ESPN that Turner will be starting and Norwood active as well.

This is still a tough call for Turner owners and even Snelling owners. There's no gaurantee of anything just because he's in the startnig lineup.

With this news, I could see a lot of people benching Snelling and starting Turner and Snelling ends up having the better day even though he didn't get the start.

What can you do though with this information other than to bench Snelling unless you have no other options. I'm starting Turner in a flex spot over Antonio Bryant (FBG has him as their No. 14 WR this week) so I'm hoping that he's OK otherwise even though I don't own Snelling, I would have hoped Turner to rest and come back healthy. The last thing I can afford to do is get like 2 points from Turner. The only reason I'm willing to risk putting him in there is because of the Bucs horrible run defense and I'm hoping these professional trainers and coaches are making the right call and Turner is indeed healthy enough to start and play the game.

reminds me a lot of last year week 14 or 15 with Marion and Choice.

Minutes before game it was announced that Marion was starting, everyone benched choice and went Marion.

Barber got like 2 fantasy points and Choice had 25

the start does not equal the carries

No way would I play Snelling if Turner plays. Too risky hoping for garbage time stats or a setback to Turner. Let's not forget that Norwood will play also.
Agreed. Garbage time could mean more touches for norwood as they try to get him back into game shape. Could be 7-10 carries each for the 3 rbs.

Tough choice between Turner and Chris Wells.Gah!!!
I was just about to make a last minute decision to start McCoy over Turner and SJax, but the rosters locked 5 minutes prior to game time, I'm rollin with Turner and hoping for the best!!!
