RB's to target ? (1 Viewer)

Went very heavy WR in the draft and as a result I'm screwed at RB and 0-4 to start. Nobody in my league will even talk about trading a top 10 RB who would be a good slightly off the radar rb1/2's to target target ? PPR league.

My current RB's: Gerhart, Joique, Sankey, Taliaferro, McKinnon (last 3 waiver pickups)

My WR's: A.J., Dez, Hopkins, Roddy, Michael Floyd

In these situations I look for people who might think they're "selling high" and just hope the guy keeps doing it. Rashard Jennings comes to mind. He will cost a lot (AJ Green?) , but I think he's worth it.

We have a pretty similar situation. Mathews, Ingram, JBell, Gerhart and (thankfully) Bradshaw are my RBs. It's so hard to trade right now because nobody wants any of these guys (except Bradshaw, who I pretty much need to keep as RB2), so a RB/WR package is really tough to make appealing. There aren't really enough RBs to go around right now for people to part with, too (especially 12 team leagues).

A few guys that I looked at trying to acquire for immediate help: Sankey, Ivory, Sproles, Bush, Jeremy Hill. These are guys that are attainable (in my league, at least) that could provide some more consistent points than the Toby Gerharts of the world.

Last I checked this was the shark pool, you are looking for the assistant coach forum...

I think Sankey is coming on. When he's has the ball he's been good and coach says he's going to be getting a lot more carries. I think you'll be able to start him with a good WR corps and be okay. If you need 2, maybe Moreno or Ingram can be had cheap and help? Several of your guys have upside (not everyone, Gerhart) and you may get a breakthrough somewhere. RBs are just expensive when so few are doing really well.

Don't they also mean contraction? I wasn't an English major, but I don't think there's anything more correct grammatically about using non-word RBs than non-word RB's?

Why hassle someone over this? It seems like a pretty extreme effort at nit picking that adds absolutely nothing to the discussion?

There's no punctuation nit-picking in the AC. Honest, man, it's like the wild west in there.

redraft? in dynasty that's not happening.

I can't even get a 1st, in a 32 team league, for RJ

Should of bought low on eddie Lacy. too late now. Maybe target Mccoy? or someone who has underperformed.
I'd love to get McCoy and have a 1-2 of Murray and him, but I still think the McCoy owner would want to charge a hefty price to give him up, even with the bad start to the season. He was the #1 overall pick in our draft, and this guy's team is a deceptive 1-3. I just don't have the goods to offer up.

What about a guy like Stacy? Doesn't seem to have much perceived value, but he's playing well and looks like a solid RB2 at least for this year.

what is the contraction here? RB is to target? as WR is to carry?

I have Lacy and Foster. Also picked up Ingram off the wire after someone dropped him when he got injured, so stashing him for week 6 or 7. May also try to trade WRs for McCoy since he's underperforming. Foster has been a nightmare to deal with. Last two weeks he's been a gametime decision, and will be this week as well.

But more specific answer to your question - Sankey is coming up, Ingram would be a good pickup if you can wait a week or two, and I hope the guy was being sarcastic about Richardson. Bradshaw is the #4 back (statistically, in my league) and somehow the Colts won't make him the #1 back on his own flippin' team.

Seems like he's in redraft to me yes.

maybe I'm wrong, but I'd target Doug Martin. Try to sell the owner on Sims taking the job and Martin being a horrible back and offer RB4 value.

At least that's what's happening in leagues where I have Martin.

Ever hear of the Oakland A's?

You're welcome.

 at the attempt at an English lesson here.

But, FWIW:

  • The marking of the omission of one or more letters (as in the contraction of do not to don’t).
  • The marking of possessive case (as in the eagle’s feathers, or in one month’s time).
  • The marking by some as plural of written items that are not words established in English orthography (as in P’s and Q’s). (This is considered incorrect by others; see Use in forming certain plurals. The use of the apostrophe to form plurals of proper words, as in apple’s, banana’s, etc., is universally considered incorrect.)
