Ready to part ways with Jay Ajayi (1 Viewer)

What are your thoughts on moving Ajayi, especially in a .5 PPR league? I play in a 10-team, .5 PPR, 2 QB league. We start 2 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, TE, Flex (RB/WR/TE), K, and DEF

QB - Kizer, Cousins, Siemian, Rivers

RB - David Johnson, Ajayi, James White, Alvin Kamara, Derrick Henry

WR - Stefon Diggs, DeAndre Hopkins, Michael Thomas

TE - Jimmy Graham

K - Elliott

DEF - Philadelphia

Team I'm considering trading with has the following roster:

Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger

Leonard Fournette, Christian McCaffrey, DeMarco Murray, Jamaal Charles

Kelvin Benjamin, Donte Moncrief, Davante Adams, Demaryius Thomas

Tyler Eifert, Jesse James, Julius Thomas, Charles Clay (why he is rostering 4 TEs, I have no idea)

Gostkowski

Seattle

This morning, he offered Christian McCaffrey and Davante Adams for Stefon Diggs, which was a nice 2 for 1, but Diggs is worth more than that in my estimation. I have been frustrated with Ajayi and thought about selling him before he has one more crappy game. Thoughts? Considering moving Ajayi, Siemian (this gives him a 3rd QB to roster through the bye weeks), and James White for McCaffrey and Murray. May be giving up too much here and may not make sense to do a trade with him at all.

Your offer is just moving around under performing players (Murray & Ajayi) and 3rd down PPR backs (White & McCaffrey).  Simien really has minimal value.  I guess if you like Murray over Ajayi then it makes sense but I don't think in the long run you are gaining anything in this deal.  It's just moving around the same type guys.  If I am the other guy I wouldn't accept this offer but I like Murray better than Ajayi.  I think Miami is a mess and Tennessee still has a pretty good line.

Thanks. Yeah, I had the same thoughts you did even I was typing it up. But thanks for the response. Wondering if I just need to cut bait with some guys like Derrick Henry and add Devin Funchess or another depth WR in his place. Will drop Kizer after this weekend since Cousins and Siemian are on bye and I may drop McKinnon and try and pick up Crowell off waivers.

I wouldn't drop Henry unless you had to because you needed a different position to play.  I wouldn't do it for just other bench depth.  He has the chance to be a difference maker if Murray goes down - which is very possible.

NOW is it time to try and sell Ajayi? I mean, how much do we need to see to realize his environment sucks even if it's not necessarily him.

It's a time to sell anybody if the price is right.  The problem with Ajayi is his value is so low you get more value in keeping him.  Definitely shop him and maybe you find someone that thinks he can turn it around.  Miami is a dumpster fire but if they ever turn it around just a little it will be because of Ajayi.  He may get a boost if they bench Cutler for Moore.

Yeah. Well, Cutler and then maybe their new offensive line coach can turn things around since the other one is blowing cocaine. Unreal.
