I'd like to know this too seeing as how I put $50 into theGreek. Seems like I would have been shut out of depositing if it were not legal for me here in CO. Anyone?Somewhat related question: I've heard varying explanations as to the legality of all the online betting. Is it illegal? Is there a legal way to do it?
Thanks. It's illegal. But unless you're moving 5 figures in deposits and withdrawls you're not even a blip on the radar.
stay away from sportsinteraction. i made a selection confirmed it and once it was accepted it came back as the opposite team. tried numerous times for them to change it and they refused. i use sports.com now and like itSportsinteraction?Their lines are a little stingy, but the site is so slick and user friendly it makes up for that if you're just betting for recreation and not as a job.
Slick site, but they flat out refused to pay me $1000 when I wanted to cash out. Called them up and they said nope, they weren't going to pay. No reason, just said no.Sportsinteraction?Their lines are a little stingy, but the site is so slick and user friendly it makes up for that if you're just betting for recreation and not as a job.
I could be wrong, but I believe this is incorrect. The US government has no authority or power to restrict you from gambling online with a company based on non-US soil. However, they do have the authority to restrict banks and credit card companies from enabling you to deposit/collect funds, which I believe is what the law that was passed a few years ago actually did. As said, unless your moving 5+ figures around it'll slip through (these companies generally have "other" names in which will appear on the check or credit card statement that will make the transaction look normal as a sports purchase or rebate of some kind). I use VIP.com and have used it for several years now without problem. Usually offer 1/2 vig on NFL bets made between 5-8 on Friday nights. They also used to have something called close call parlays, where you'd get at least your money back (depending on the number of teams used) if you got everyone right except 1. I'm not sure if they still do this. They also use a reward point system (similar to points or cash back on a credit card). It's illegal. But unless you're moving 5 figures in deposits and withdrawls you're not even a blip on the radar.
Yikes, couldn't be further from the truth.I believe Bodog is the only one who takes any action from Americans.
