Budget $2k ish. Currently looking at the Wired Freedom fat tire model. Anyone have any insight on what to buy and what to avoid?

I've had a Rad Rover for about 5 years that I customized somewhat (new controller, display and battery). That Wired Freedom bike looks nice. The 60v dual battery system is exactly what I'd be looking for in a new bike. I would do some research on the motor. Not all motors that claim to be 750W actually are. They're all basically one of two types and all made in China with varying branding. Read up on the differences in the motors and check what you're getting before you purchase. You want a "true" 750W

Generally with a customizable controller and dual 60v batteries, you should have plenty of power and range for whatever you want to do unless you have a lot of steep hills around you.

What is your objective with the bike? Are you planning on cruising bike paths, mountain biking, commuting?

What class of e-bike are you looking for?

I would personally avoid rear hub motors, but maybe that is the bike snob in me. I know a few people who have had issues with the hub motor putting stress on the wheels, leading to costly repairs. I also don't like the way the pedal compared to mid drive, but this may be of no concern to you.

That Wired Freedom looks absurd to me the cheapo "full suspension" combined with fat tires. The fat tires alone should eat up vibrations in the road/trails.

Semi-schtick, but.... cars.

I assume you're not a kid but the kids around here are complete jackholes on these things. Completely oblivious to cars around them.

My daughter wants one and I'm resisting as long as possible. Hopefully another full year, as soon as she needs one to get to/from high school which is slightly far for a "normal" bike.

I'm part of a group on FB focused on e-bike upgrades (mostly Rad). The guy that knows more than anyone I've ever talked to about e-bikes has gone away from Rad bikes and says this is the best e-bike for the money:
