That's where I got to. I despise heat and humidity and choose to live in Florida anyway. I just stay in my pool or in the house with the A/C blasting during summer. Summer is my winter now. When it's 75-80 degrees and pleasant almost every day from November through April, I remember what it was like to be up at 5 AM shoveling my driveway or scraping the ice off my windshield with a Metallica cassette case and I shudder. I could never live up north in winter again as much as I love the NE.It has gotten up to 10 degrees so far today here.
I was working outside yesterday when it was 2 degrees.
I hate the cold so much. It makes my bones ache. I had on 4 layers of clothing yesterday. Why people prefer this crap to 100 degree weather is beyond me. You can't escape the cold. It is everywhere and permeates everything. When it is too hot, you go swimming and not only do you feel great, it is a lot of fun. There is nothing fun about trying to stay warm. Maybe if I had a wood burning fireplace, but I don't. I thought about making a big bonfire outside yesterday, but it was too windy.
At least it is supposed to hit low 50's on Wednesday.
That's where I got to about 20 years ago in Pennsylvania. Said screw it, I'm out. Florida has its fair share of crazy, and Hurricanes, but I'm not freezing my ### off for 4 months a year. That's where I got to. I despise heat and humidity and choose to live in Florida anyway.
