Redraft Leagues, where to slot rookie RBs vs vets in 2014? (1 Viewer)

I think its safe to say MOST people would rank Sankey the top rookie RB for 2014 in PPR redraft leagues, edging out Hill, Hyde, and Mason, based on immediate opportunity. But I'm curious where you guys would start ranking Sankey, Hill, and Hyde in redraft leagues now that the dust has settled.

I think the top15-17 Rbs are clearly vets, but as soon as 17+ maybe you make a case for Sankey?

1. McCoy

2. Charles

3. AP

4. Forte

5. Lacy

y. Bell

7. Martin

8. Lynch

9. Bernard

10. Stacy

11. Ball

12. Foster

13. Spiller

14. Murray

15. Morris

16. Ellington

17. Mathews

Anyone think Sankey might have less risk than taking a Bush, Vereen, Ray Rice, Tate, CJ, J. Bell, or Richardson. Not sure I would put Hill or Hyde until after that short group though.

What do you sharks think?

Anyone play redrafts anymore or just all dynasty? :stalker:
It's early May. Most redrafters aren't around right now, and even dynasty owners who also play redraft probably have bigger concerns right now.

Personally, if training camp and preseason goes well and he gets the majority of the work he could go as high as 10-12, but I doubt he pushes Greene aside that easily.

Top 10-12? Wow I can't see that but camp reports will obviously build up hype or sink outlooks.

I'm not sure he's going to waltz into the starting lineup. It's possible, but this isn't St. Louis or Pitt last season where there was nothing on the roster at all. As mediocre as Greene may be, he's a two-time 1000 yard rusher in the NFL and perfectly capable of handling a pretty significant workload if Sankey isn't ready to be the man from day one for whatever reason. I would look at Sankey as sort of a high-risk, high-reward RB2.

Would not draft Hyde in redraft. Would only take Hill as a dirt cheap depth play or best ball special.

Mason in STL would be my #2 redraft rookie RB. Not expecting a dominant debut season though. RBBC seems very likely, though not a certainty.

Andre Williams in NYG could have some value in year one depending on how that camp battle shakes out.

Terrance West is a dark horse. I don't see Tate being so bad that West will start from day one, but it's not impossible.

All in all, it doesn't look like a very strong RB class fro ma redraft standpoint. These guys would be low RB2-RB3 for me on draft day. There is a little bit of upside. Not many of these guys are clearly the most talented RB on their own roster though, and that always complicates things.

Well, after writing that I just saw that Greene had a knee surgery today. Not sure of the severity, but that could fast-track Sankey into the starting role.
