anyone have any word on his projected return date? The original prognosis was 2-4, and that was 2 weeks ago. Is there a chance he is ready after the bye, or is he more likely to miss two more games?

Floating around on this board somewhere is a blurb that said that Dr. Andrews advised Bush not to try to rush back. John Clayton is predicting Bush misses the full 4 weeks (3 games) which would put Reggie back in Week 12.

Amen to that. Very little has been revealed about his injury. A meniscus could be a few weeks or a few months. That said, I'll give you my opinion I would say he could be back in 4 weeks but given his running style, he will not be particularly effective for 6-8 weeks after surgery. I had simple mensicus surgery tow months ago and while I'm not a pro athlete or have a full training staff at my disposal, there are a few things that are a given:* There will be swelling for at least a month after surgery, even with the best therapy.* There will be scar tissue that will cause discomfort. The average body will reabsorb the scar tissue over a period of months. Again, even the best therapy will not reduce the time downto a couple of weeks. * It is easier to run forward than to have to cut, changes directions, etc. If this were Deuce, with his straight ahead, pounding style, I'd say he'd be pretty effective quickly. Bush is a slasher that cuts a lot. He will feel something in his knee every time he changes direction. Considering his youth, star potential, endorsements, etc., I would say he will be cautious coming back. Even if he comes back quickly, I would expect him to be tentative for the first few games.

Amen to that. I drafted him in one league, snatched him up in another when a guy dropped him after the injury. I'm hoping that he comes back at full strength @ Week 11 or 12, but I think it's more realistic (though not a given) that he's back to being a full-blown stud right around Week 14.
