Reggie Bush (1 Viewer)

The "experts" are predicting that Reggie gets cut from New Orleans after the lockout is over. I heard Mortenson and Schefty on Mike and Mike this morning saying he thought the NYG and Pittsburgh would be good destinations for him to end up with but the leading canidate to be Miami (which makes sense) but I would like to throw out the team I could see him ending up with.........The TAMPA BAY BUCS

5 Reasons

1) They could really use a versitile 3rd down back to help that offense mature. Reggie is a very good pass protector and an excellent route runner for a rb. He would add a great compliment to Blunt (who was great last year) and add another weapon to that young potent offense in TB.

2) Reggie would help out a less than great return game. TB has always lacked great return guys on special teams while there inconference rivals (NEW ORLEANS) has benefitted from Reggie's electric plays.

3) Tampa Bay needs to spend money. The only have $56 million spent right now and they NEED to spend $120. Reggie isnt going to get the $ he is making right now but a healthy contract could definetly lure him to Tampa.

4) He gets butts in the seats and TB is one of the teams that had some problems with that last year.

5) You are hurting your rival. You always like your team getting a very good player but when you get them and your rival loses him its a double win.

Any thoughts on other destinations?

Agree or disagree with TB?

Hadn't considered it but your points make sense to me. I was convinced he was going to Indy until I read the "don't wanna play/practice on turf" quotes from Reggie. My guess is somewhere warm and on natural turf. Miami, Tampa, Carolina if Dwill leaves (they got money to spend to hit the salary floor), Washington (not warm but they could use a 3rd down back and Snynder likes to spend), San Diego (in the Sproles role?) seem like the most likely landing spots to me. If I had to bet money I'd put it on Miami but who knows...definitely going to be a FA period for the ages...fast and frenzied.

makes sense since his skills would complement Blount's well and they have a need

Carolina doesn't since Mike Goodson is basically the same thing.

Washington has way too many backs now already and they like Keiland in that 3rd down gig although they need help at WR and Bush could help in that capacity. Just not sure Shanny has ever used that type of back in his offense.

San Diego drafted Todman while Tolbert is capable of filling in on 3rd downs as well

Miami is pretty obvious

Giants don't make sense to me unless they let Bradshaw walk

Philly could use Reggie as a complement to McCoy

Seems like he could take some pressure off that young QB in Cincy

Chicago is another wildcard because Martz could use him how he used Faulk when his offense was firing on all cylinders. Not sure they would be willing to cut Chester though...

St Louis would make sense if he would be willing to play on turf

Indianapolis Colts.

Manning isn't getting any younger, Addai is a FA; time to press for another ring.

Someone on Sirius NFL threw out San Diego as a landing spot for Reggie Bush if the Bolts part ways with Sproles. Would love to see this move.

I think he goes back to Cali with the Chargers where he'll basically be their slot receiver.
