There has been a lot of discussion of the value (or lack thereof) of Reggie Bush. But in the context of a PPR league he has done well. As has Deuce. For example, in my main league Bush is currently the 10th scoring RB and McAllister the 11th (1 point behind). They also seem to compliment each other well (Bush is a focal point in receiving while McAllister is the focus in running). McAllister has scored the TDs and rushed fairly well, and Bush has gotten most points from his PPR.
If you have both and are looking to trade one, the issue will be who to trade. From here on out, who outperforms who in a 1 point per reception league in addition to standard scoring?
Some of the issues I foresee are as follows:
1) Bush may be more consistent for purposes of a PPR since he gets 4 passes a game. He therefore should always get around 10-13 ppg whereas if Deuce is shut down on the ground, he could post low numbers?
2) THe defenses have ben keying on Reggie, which has freed up Deuce. Will they continue to do that?
3) Rookies tend to hit a "wall" around weeks 12-14. Will Reggie?
4) The defenses New Orleans will face will be difficult (Ravens, Steelers, Bengals, Panthers, Cowboys, Bucs, Giants and Falcons) with only the Redskins and 49ers as mild defenses. Will the defenses above be more likely to shut down Reggie as opposed to Deuce?
I really don't want to talk about Bush as a great phenom or a bust. Just the idea of how he will perform as opposed to his running mate, McAllister. Any thoughts?
