Guys sorry if this is duplicate.. any news on Wayne for this weekend i have a friend that said he saw Wayne after the game on Sunday and he looked like he was struggling to move... Any Colt fans heard or seen anything??

thanks

I read he has a groin injury. Left the game, then returned, then left for good in the 2nd quarter. Sorry but don't know anything more about it.

Nothing official yet but it's looking pretty good that he will play this week from a few different sites that I've seen. More will be known later in the week but I think there's a good chance he plays..

If it was too serious, I doubt he would have came back in since the game was already a blow out. I won't have a chance to wait and see because I will be gone Sunday, but I am starting him and Andre with full confidence.

good luck.. sometimes those type of things can tighten up after words and cause some problems.. i did not see it but my buddy said this about watching Caldwell news conference " I heard that it's day-to-day, but I got a bad vibe from HC Jim Caldwell at his Monday press conference. That being said, he shouldn't miss more than a week" .. this was just his 2 cents

Garcon has got to learn how to catch first.
:link: After the first couple of drops, I thought Manning was going to ignore him... but surprisingly he still kept feeding the kid :lmao: Should be a decent WR3/Flex this weekend against SF with a bomb or two away from WR2/WR3 numbers.

Polian was on NFL Network yesterday (he makes an appearance in the 5pm hour nearly every Tuesday). He expects Wayne to play, and Brown to be held out next week. Of course, this could change throughout the week.

Yea his lone bright spot was the PI penalty he drew on the long pass before the Collie TD. Manning threw to him more this game than any other game, and the results were not good.
I think this was because the game got out of hand early... it was STL... and Manning wants to work with Garcon on things. I think after awhile, it turned into a 'practice' for the two. :goodposting:

I really think they should rest Wayne this week.

You know, just to make sure he's OK.

You don't want to risk aggravating the injury.

SF will be an easy win, plus it's a non-conference game.

Oh, and also, my opponent this week owns Wayne. :goodposting:

Donald Brown?

The MRI was reprted on 10/26 by rotowire and we have heard optimistic news since then. I'm holding off for tomorrows practice report before hitting the panic button.

anything yet?? i don't have a link but i have a friend that is a HUGE colts fan that said he was listening to some talk radio that they were talking about Reggie.. according to him they did not sound very optimistic about him playing this weekeend..for what it is worth

Quite trankly, I don't understand why he would play this weekend. They should handily beat the 49ers and a groin can be a lingering issue all season. I don't see the need to push it if he's not 100%. So I don't believe he will play this weekend.

The Niners are not the Rams or the Browns. They are a talented and young football team that is inconsistent but they definitely are not a push over and if Wayne is out I think the idea that Indy would win handily is silly. Indy is fighting for a top seed right now and still has NE, Balt & Den on their schedule.

From Adam Schefter's twitter page:

He practiced today, Colts sound optimistic. RT @mtf9321: MT@MTF9321: @Adam_Schefter: what's the status of reggie wayne playing this Sunday?
I figured Wayne would play, though I did get worried earlier this week with all of the speculation - but Polian was pretty straightforward that Reggie would probably play.

agreed this is a good sign.. did you here if he was limited or not?? Thought i saw that he was NOT going full speed in practice and the colts my limit his plays.. i can't seem to find where i saw it

No Reggie Wayne, no Anthony Gonzalez, no Donald Brown wouldnt be a layup vs a young and hungry defense like the 49ers.

Since Monday, and in some reports as early as Sunday Polian and Wayne both stated he is fine and expects to play this weekend. Why does everyone think he is NOT going to play?

Wayne is the 3rd most important Colt, behind only Peyton and Freeney. He needs to play if he is at all able.

Lazy in my quoting - was more referring to NoCheese's statement.

Great news Wayne practiced.. but does it bother any of you guys he is listed as questionable instead of probable?? Plus he probably will be going against clements who held AJ to two catches for 64 yards??

The Colts haven't listed anyone as probable all season.

Someone on the Colts fan forum said that John Clayton said on NFL Live that Reggie IS playing. Sorry this is 2nd hand info.

the lung contusion held him to 2 catches...

Bluntly put - the Colts would not have won yesterday without Reggie Wayne. Peyton gets most of the national media's credit for the Colts' start so far - but Wayne, Freeney and Mathis are just about as important to the Colts' fortunes. That was very evident yesterday.

I wouldn't get too crazy. The Colts are a sub-500 team without Manning, so I wouldn't even put the other guys in the same vicinity as far as who is most important to the Colts. I don't like saying it, but it is true. I'm not loving on Manning. I wish the team wasn't so dependent on one player. But I agree with you that Wayne and Freeney are vital to the team. Without Freeney, Mathis gets doubled and the front four get ZERO pass rush on the QB, which leads to an average QB picking the secondary apart (Billy Volek anyone). And Peyton really does need guys like Wayne and Clark who pick him up on a day when he is struggling (relatively speaking). In my most important league (to me), I have Wayne, Austin, Sims-Walker, and Crabtree. I started Wayne & Austin but thought about sitting Wayne for Sims-Walker in fear of him having lingering affects from the groin tweak. Good sense got the better of me, though.By the way - what is your handle on the Colts forum, djcolts?
