Reggie Williams (1 Viewer)

He has put up two good weeks. Also vs two very good defenses. I have been able to pick him up in all my leagues. I was wondering why he is not sought after more or have I just been lucky? I mean 14 catches for 140 some yards and 1 td are good numbers for the teams he has faced. What are the targets after two games for the Jags wr's? Give me some thoughts on this guy. I think he could have a breakout type year and to me looks like the best of the Jags wr's. Could he post 80 catches 1100 and 8 td's? I think so, am I wrong.

He definitely is. I was able to pick him up on waivers Tuesday in a PPR league where he is extremely valuable. It's a 10 team league, but there are some scrubs on some rosters, I was thrilled.

after two weeks he's been targeted 18 times for 14/142/1. His counterpart, Matt Jones has been targeted 21 times for 11/144/0.

to answer your question, yes. I think he's undervalued. you're talking about a guy putting up relatively the same numbers as someone who's ADP was ~7/8 round (14-team redraft). If you're lucky, you can probably still find him on the WW.

sorry to highjack, but another guy who I think undervalued right now is Mike Furrey.

his numbers rival Roy Williams' so far and against two of the better D's in the league (Seattle, Chicago)

Furrey 14 targets 11/122/0

Williams 15 targets 9/107/0

he has a nice run of games coming up (GB, Stl., Minn.) if you need a BYE week fill-in.

ETA:  well, maybe not STL and Minn so far, but I still think he's undervalued.

I have a good feeling about Williams this year. He really looks like he has elevated his game when you see him in action. I think he could indeed emerge as the best of Jacksonville's receivers this season and down the road. He doesn't strike me as a big play threat but he seems like a solid possession receiver between the 20s and a great red zone option. It'll be interesting to see how much Marcedes Lewis cuts into his targets when he hits the field, though.

:goodposting: Yea... i'm on this bandwagon... i cut Burleson for him after week 1.... i saw the game vs Dallas and he looked to be more a part of the offense then the great Matt Jones  I hope Jones stays healthy though, because it looks like there will be enough balls to go around to keep both of them happy... and having both of them on the field will keep defenses guessing... but i really think Williams is gonna be the more valuable of the two because he's catching more of the passes coming his way... that's not really a knock on Jones' hands... he's had some uncatchable balls thrown his way... i just think Willams is probably more consistant (due to experience at the position).

Seems to me he was OVERvalued coming into this week....

As we should have suspected, this guy cannot be trusted and is fools gold.

Oh well, he was only a bye week replacement for me anyway.

The Jags passing game as a whole did not perform well on Sunday. The gameplan was very ball-control oriented, and Leftwich was not very accurate when he did throw downfield. If you are going to write off Reggie Williams because of this game, then you might as well write off the entire Jags passing offense. I'm not though.
