Regrading the 2006 NFL draft. (1 Viewer)

Andy Dufresne

Footballguy
I know there was a "who got the most out of their picks" thread earlier this week. This shows how poorly some teams did this year. And it further underscores the importance of rounds 1-3 as most 4th rounders and later aren't around.

Re-grade your team (or any that catch your eye)

giants did real well, in my opinion. Kiwi and Cofield have been excellent, and Moss looks like he could be pretty studly if he can stay on the field. we'll see about that next year.

My hometown team Vikings get a B+.

Griffin has been a real find and has pushed Smoot out of the starting role.

The Cook pick was laughed at but he's started to play really well at LT.

Jackson may be the heir apparent, but nobody knows yet.

Edwards & Blue have played well in spot duty.

Too bad Greenway got hurt the 1st preseason games.

Cincinnati B+

1 24 Joseph, Johnathan CB 5-11 192 South Carolina

He's going to be real good... looked great on the Thurs game filling in for the drunk. Needs the hang out with the JUGS.

2 55 Whitworth, Andrew OT 6-7 327 Louisiana State

Doing a great job filling in and can play most spots on the line.

3 91 Rucker, Frostee DE 6-3 267 Southern California

Dumb ###.

4 123 Peko, Domata DT 6-3 306 Michigan State

Good pick... has a motor that doesn't quit.

5 157 Nicholson, A. J. ILB 6-1 253 Florida State

Dumb ###.

6 193 McNeal, Reggie QB 6-2 197 Texas A&M

Ok pick for a 6th rounder.

7 209 Kilmer, Ethan WR 6-1 204 Penn State

Great special teamer.. might turn out to be a good safety too.

7 231 Brazell, Bennie WR 6-3 176 Louisiana State

Has been hurt.

Philly gets a "D" and KC gets an "F". Neither team got much help at all from their picks. (Although Hali is okay.)

Houston did VERY well and gets an "A".

I now lay claim to three teams:

Detroit 1 9 Sims, Ernie OLB 5-11 232 Florida State 2 40 Bullocks, Daniel SS 6-0 213 Nebraska 3 74 Calhoun, Brian RB 5-9 202 Wisconsin 5 141 Scott, Jonathan OT 6-6 314 Texas 6 179 McCann, Alton 'Dee' CB 5-11 198 West Virginia 7 217 Matua, Fred G 6-2 307 Southern California 7 247 Cannon, Anthony OLB 5-11 227 Tulane Kansas City 1 20 Hali, Tamba DE 6-3 275 Penn State 2 54 Pollard, Bernard SS 6-2 223 Purdue 3 85 Croyle, Brodie QB 6-3 204 Alabama 5 154 Maxey, Marcus CB 6-2 197 Miami (Fla.) 6 186 Stallings, Tre' G 6-3 315 Mississippi 6 190 Webb, Jeff WR 6-2 201 San Diego State 7 228 Page, Jarrad SS 6-0 220 UCLA Tennessee 1 3 Young, Vince QB 6-5 228 Texas 2 45 White, LenDale RB 6-0 237 Southern California 4 102 Lowry, Calvin SS 5-11 197 Penn State 4 116 Tulloch, Stephen ILB 5-11 242 North Carolina State 5 137 Nande, Terna OLB 6-0 233 Miami (Ohio) 5 169 Mahelona, Jesse DT 6-1 310 Tennessee 6 172 Orr, Jonathan WR 6-2 197 Wisconsin 7 215 Finnegan, Cortland FS 5-10 189 Samford 7 245 Toone, Spencer OLB 6-1 235 Utah 7 246 Ganther, Quinton RB 5-9 219 Utah
Out of these 3, none did exceptionally well, but I like all 3 first round picks at least. KC probably did the best out of the bunch, Hali's a stud, Pollard and Page have contributed, the others are almost unknown at this point. Tennessee did well, but with the #3 pick, they should. Finnegan has been alright. White looked ok, but has issues. Detroit: BKC: A-Tennessee: B+

N.Y. Jets 1 4 Ferguson, D'Brickashaw OT 6-6 313 Virginia 1 29 Mangold, Nick C 6-4 299 Ohio State 2 49 Clemens, Kellen QB 6-2 223 Oregon 3 76 Schlegel, Anthony ILB 6-0 251 Ohio State 3 97 Smith, Eric SS 6-1 209 Michigan State 4 103 Smith, Brad WR 6-2 212 Missouri 4 117 Washington, Leon RB 5-8 202 Florida State 5 150 Pociask, Jason TE 6-3 267 Wisconsin 6 189 Coleman, Drew CB 5-8 183 Texas Christian 7 220 Adams, Titus DT 6-3 305 Nebraska
Great thread.... To me this looks like one of the best drafts in a long time and I've been looking for the stinkers in the 1st few rounds.... Lets here em!!!!!As for the Jets, BI can't complain too much, the OL needed a ton of help... Schlegel was such a bad pick that even Schlegel was shocked when the phone rang..... I wanted Mario and when that didn't happen I wanted to trade down and I thought the draft had plenty of OL help later where Ferguson wasn't a priority and wasn't necessarily the road grater I was looking for... Then again, he was a home town favorite and great personality, hard to argue with or turn down and you never know if anyone was out there to trade down with.Mangold was such a lock for the Jets they kinda gave it away when they said they had Mawae's replacement in mind early in the process. And it's hard now not to want the excitement of a Vince Young on your team!!!!!Again, for the Jets draft, you can't complain much but this draft was so freaking loaded with stars that it's easy to want more and see how the draft could have been manipulated to get MORE....And we need to see how the QB Clemens pans out... If he's a legitimate starter, then this draft turns in to an absolute Bonanza.... IF.

months later and Dallas' pick of Bobby Carperter still makes me SMH.

he adds nothing to a team that is in contention with an already deep LB position.

Chicago

2 42 Manning, Danieal SS 5-11 201 Abilene Christian

(starter- A)

2 57 Hester, Devin WR 5-11 189 Miami (Fla.)

(best kick/punt returner ever - A+)

3 73 Dvoracek, Dusty DT 6-3 305 Oklahoma

(injured in camp - INC)

4 120 Williams, Jamar ILB 6-0 250 Arizona State

(special teams/injured - D+)

5 159 Anderson, Mark DE 6-4 258 Alabama

(10 sacks - A+)

6 195 Runnels, J.D. FB 5-11 235 Oklahoma

(2nd string FB - C)

6 200 Reed, Tyler G 6-4 315 Penn State

(practice squad)

Angelo owns the vast majority of NFL GM's...starting to think he has few peers when it comes to grading defensive talent. But then again, he's in Chicago, so of course the national media gave this draft an F, and was calling for the second string GM.

I completely disagree.
I must be missing something.
I may just be giving too much credit for Hali. they could have lost all their other picks and I'd still give them a B-. Also, I'm used to horrible drafts (Detroit and KC fan). But like I said, Page and Pollard look somewhat encouraging as well.

But then again, he's in Chicago, so of course the national media gave this draft an F after the fact, and was calling for the second string GM.
Remember when everyone was crying about drafting a punt returner in the late second round? This draft will have even more impact next year when Dvoracek comes back and gives us more depth on the DL in case Tommie Harris has a slow recovery from his hamstring surgery.

Cleveland

Based soley on the play of our first and second round picks the Browns would get a solid A

whoever a draft is based on who else contributes to the team, which we draft not one player that gets any time on the field. Harrison was supposed to challenge Droughns and has done little to live up to that.

Mr. Phil Savage was supposedly a first class talent evaluator and has not hit on any second day picks in two drafts. Even is the second day gives us depth for current positions that would be fine, but that hasn't happened either.

my overall grade for this draft is a C, at best. a draft is judged on the merit as a whole to the team, and only 2 starters equals a "C" in my mind

Doesen't Parcells have control of the draft?

Overall I think the rookie class of 2006 has been outstanding for the talents that have come from every position. Other drafts recently have been better in one area or another but they had weaknesses unlike this draft class. This draft class was supposed to be weak at Wr but it produced Colston which changed that.

So I think this is partly why you do not see many terrible drafts by teams this year compared to other years.

Houston

1 1 Williams, Mario DE 6-7 294 North Carolina State

Should have picked bush but cant say I am dissappointed in him he's been getting better every week and is playing on one foot really(plantar fashiwhateva) A-

2 33 Ryans, DeMeco OLB 6-1 235 Alabama

Oh my gawd I did not see this coming this guy is a F***ing stud awesome pick. one of the franchises top 3 picks ever. A+

3 65 Spencer, Charles OT 6-5 351 Pittsburgh

This guy was well on his way to being a very solid LT. A

3 66 Winston, Eric OT 6-6 311 Miami (Fla.)

Athletic and starting to hold his own. Did very good so far. B+

4 98 Daniels, Owen TE 6-3 243 Wisconsin

This pick pissed me off at first Because i wanted B. Smith here, but he has turned out to be pretty impressive A (for value)

6 170 Lundy, Wali RB 5-11 213 Virginia

I hate this pick!!!!!! but he has contibuted somewhat. C+

7 251 Anderson, David WR 5-10 193 Colorado State

Redundant pick with Mathis here. I wanted M. Colston (and yes i liked him at the combine) or R. Wright Texas

Players I wish we would have drafted:

B. Smith

R. McNeal

R. Wright

M. Colston

J. Harrison

O. Jacobs

J. Scott

M. Robinson

I agree, people will point to Williams over Bush/Young, but give me a dominant DE over a dominant RB anyday of the week. Houston is going in the right direction....

I put this in another thread. I think giving the Eagles a D (right now) might be kind.

1 14 Brodrick Bunkley DT Florida State

-Guy has given them 0 this year. I believe he was the last rookie to sign and supposedly he has not been able to catch up. His most notable achievement was missing the team flight 2 weeks ago, because he was picking up chicken for the veterans (according to him). Just can't get on the field.

2 39 Winston Justice T USC

-Mostly MIA but that was mostly by design. No real need for him to play yet. Most rumors are that he is developing fine.

3 71 Chris Gocong DE Cal Poly

-The Division I-AA DE who is supposed to be the linebacker of the future has been on IR all year due to some sort of neck problem.

4 99 Max Jean-Gilles G Georgia

-See Winston Justice.

4 109 Jason Avant WR Michigan

-Has had a couple catches and looked ok but had a terrible fumble in the open field vs. Tampa Bay in week 7 and hasn't been seen since.

5 147 Jeremy Bloom WR Colorado

-The skiing sensation has been on IR all year with a hamstring injury. At this point there are serious questions about whether he will ever play, considering the total time he's been out of football between college and the pros.

5 168 Omar Gaither LB Tennessee

-The most productive player out of this draft. He was a solid special teams contributor and has started the last 2 games. Had a nice interception vs. Washington this week.

6 204 LaJuan Ramsey DT USC

-Played a little bit in the defensive line rotation and contributed, but has done very little lately.

Arizona - B

Getting Leinart at 10 was criminal. Lutui is starting. Why they haven't gotten Pope more involved is interesting.

Atlanta - B

Williams is only playing sporadically. Norwood looks like a find.

Baltimore - B+

Ngata has helped tremendously. Landry was a find in the 5th.

Buffalo - B+

Whitner and Simpson have been really good. McCargo was playing well until the injury.

Carolina - B+

Williams and Marshall are the real deal.

Chicago - A

Manning, Hester, & Dvoracek are a GREAT first three picks. And Mark Anderson was the SOD.

Cincinnati - C+

Too many boneheads drafted among the good ones (those being Joseph and Whitworth)

Cleveland - B-

Have to be happy with the first two picks.

Dallas - D+

Seriously. What the hell?

Denver - B

Cutler looks like the real deal. Scheffler's playing better. And Dumervil is a nice pass rushing DE.

Detroit - B

Sims is as good as advertised. Scott was a find in the 5th.

Green Bay - B-

Mixed draft that gets the minus only for what COULD have been.

Houston - A

Williams has been playing well, and improving, even though injured. Ryans is the DROY. Spencer, Winston, Daniels, & Lundy all helped the offense.

Indianapolis - C

Not much other than Addai.

Jacksonville - C+

Very mediocre.

Kansas City - C+

Okay. I'll give the benefit of the doubt.

Miami - C+

Allen's coming around.

Minnesota - B+

Solid all around

New England - B

Maroney was a steal.

New Orleans - A

Those 7th rounders were OUTSTANDING value.

N.Y. Giants - C+

Meh

N.Y. Jets - B-

Like the Packers, could have been so much more.

Oakland - C+

Too bad Bing went to IR.

Philadelphia - D+

Yuck.

Pittsburgh - C-

Ish.

San Diego - B

McNeill the Steal.

Seattle - C

Meh.

San Francisco - B-

Like the Packers & Jets, could have been so much more.

St. Louis - B-

I want to see more of Alston.

Tampa Bay - B+

Good help for the o-line.

Tennessee - B+

Vince! Lendale's looked good in limited time.

Washington - D

Terribly mismanaged from top to bottom.

Tennessee 1 3 Young, Vince QB 6-5 228 Texas 2 45 White, LenDale RB 6-0 237 Southern California 4 102 Lowry, Calvin SS 5-11 197 Penn State 4 116 Tulloch, Stephen ILB 5-11 242 North Carolina State 5 137 Nande, Terna OLB 6-0 233 Miami (Ohio) 5 169 Mahelona, Jesse DT 6-1 310 Tennessee 6 172 Orr, Jonathan WR 6-2 197 Wisconsin 7 215 Finnegan, Cortland FS 5-10 189 Samford 7 245 Toone, Spencer OLB 6-1 235 Utah 7 246 Ganther, Quinton RB 5-9 219 Utah
Vince Young - He alone makes this draft an A. Getting a franchise QB who will become the face of this franchise and quickly become one of the NFL's highest-revenue-grossing stars is huge. (A+)Lendale White - Hated this pick when it was made, and hate it even more now. LenDale has been everything I expected him to be, lazy, fat, out-of-shape, and, at least in training camp, a cancer. Hes only run ahead of Chris Brown because Brown will not be a Titan next year. (D)Calvin Lowry - Hes playing, but can't say Ive once noticed him this year. Should be a bigger factor next year. (C-)Stephen Tullock - Played well as a starter when forced into the role, very well could be the starting MLB next year. (B)Terna Nande - A good example of what happens when you draft based on combine numbers, and not talent. Has been on the PS most of the year. (F)Jesse Mahelona - Should have been drafted higher, and is going to be a part of the DT rotation for years to come. Excellent pick. (A)Courtland Finnegan - Has made alot of big plays this year, and been an integral part of nickel packages. Another great pick (A).Orr, Toone, Ganther - All 3 will be out of the league in 2 years. (Fs all around)

Overall, A-

Green Bay

1 5 Hawk, A.J. OLB 6-1 247 Ohio State A

Very good starter. Nose for the ball, and fast to the outside. Also making on impact as a pass rusher.

2 47 Colledge, Daryn OT 6-4 298 Boise State B+

Starter on the O line, and a pretty good one. Will only get better. Great fit for the scheme.

2 52 Jennings, Greg WR 5-11 196 Western Michigan A+

Great pick in round 2. Made immediate impact at WR. Ankle injury has hurt him lately.

3 67 Hodge, Abdul ILB 6-0 235 Iowa B-

They like him long term, but I'm not sure he'll ever be able to cover at this level. Great against the run, and good first showing as a starter when Barnett was out.

3 75 Spitz, Jason C 6-3 304 Louisville A

Starter since day 1. Best lineman they got in this draft.

4 104 Rodgers, Cory WR 6-0 187 Texas Christian F

Taken for return ability. Cut from the team.

4 115 Blackmon, Will WR 6-0 199 Boston College Incomplete/foot

Raw talent, who will likely make into the rotation at DB next year.

5 148 Martin, Ingle QB 6-2 219 Furman Incomplete

I liked him coming out of Furman. I have no idea about him at this point.

5 165 Moll, Tony OT 6-5 308 Nevada C+

Filling in adequately at tackle with Tauscher out. Slow start, and needs to get much stronger.

6 183 Jolly, Johnny DT 6-3 318 Texas A&M C

He's in the D line rotation. All you can ask for out of a 6th round pick.

6 185 Culver, Tyrone FS 6-0 196 Fresno State C

Backing up Collins and Manuel. Has some potential.

7 253 Tollefson, Dave DE 6-4 255 Northwest Missouri State D

He's a seventh rounder, but still. Hasn't been on the field much.

The Steelers had a rough draft:

Holmes - can really trust this kid to field punts after his performance this year? I never thought I would miss ARE so much. He's been a quality receiver, but his return skills were a huge part of why we drafted. Holmes as a WR alone is only a 2nd rounder.

Smith - This pick gets a good grade. He was the guy they would have taken in the 2nd (the pick that got traded to Minnesota and ended up being Tarvaris jackson) and they got him anyway in the mid 3rd. He will make a great partner for Troy Polamalu for a long time.

Reid - Incomplete - been hurt most of the year. Looking forward to having his and Holmes speed to stretch defenses when we are in 3 and 4 WR sets.

Colon - Mostly inactive. Man we took the wrong Hofstra guy.

Harris - no longer with the team

Jacobs - no longer with the team

Davis - no longer with the team

Philip - mostly inactive. We may need him to step up next year if Hartings retires.

Humes - no longer with the team

So, basically, we have Smith, half a Holmes, and ? Reid (+ a couple of spare part OL) to show for this draft. Wonderful.

D

When you screw up the #1 pick as bad as the Texans did, I dont think you can grade them any higher then a B-. Given Ryans and Daniels, I'll give them a C+.

Good analysis though I would probably have given them a D+. I think the first two picks are going to be real good football players.

Mario has been improving every week dispite being hampered by a bad foot. I don't think they made a wrong decision at all.Their mistake was re-upping Carr before the draft. Had they not done that, then Young would have been the better pick. As it is, I don't think Bush would have been a good fit for their system.

Mario has been invisible since hurting his foot. Yes, he's playing hurt, but he's not getting pressure or stopping hte run effectively. He's hardly improving at this point. He'd made some progress up until his injury, but he hasnt been a dominating force in a game thus far. Just like when he was drafted, he has potential, meanwhile, the last few weeks Bush has been a game breaker like he was supposed to be. If the Texan coaches couldn't figure out a way to make use of his skills, then they're not very good at their jobs.

Green Bay

1 5 Hawk, A.J. OLB 6-1 247 Ohio State - looked lost early in the season. really struggled in pass coverage. played tentatively. finally let loose a little, stopped thinking too much and has really really come on. he's a difference maker. Packers are still figuring out exactly what he can do. he's gonna be here for a while.. has the right attitude, blue-collar, gonna be a team leader for a while. A+

2 47 Colledge, Daryn OT 6-4 298 Boise State - REALLY scuffled early. couldn't get on the field. looked like he might have been a bust. injury forced him out there and he's held up well. took him a while to learn how to go from a pass-blocking tackle in the wacky Mountain West to a zone-blocking guard in the NFC North. guy's smart, a technician and can fill in at tackle in a pinch. he's going to be fine provided they stick with the zone-blocking scheme. maybe not as good as i thought he'd be coming out of the box but all things equal he's done fine. B

2 52 Jennings, Greg WR 5-11 196 Western Michigan - a player right out of the gate. not much for deep speed which the Packers really needed but he catches everything. very fluid, instinctual, a natural. the ankle injury has hobbled him badly but he'll be fine in 2007. given a deep threat alongside he and Driver next year the guy could have a big year. 1000+ yds and 8td's is not out of the question. IF they get a legit deep threat. smart pick by Thompson. a guy who played 4 years at a high level.. smart.. professional. B+

3 67 Hodge, Abdul ILB 6-0 235 Iowa - really wowed in pre-season but hasn't really seen the field in the regular season. filled in for one game at starter w/ mixed results. guy can hit and play the run but struggles in pass coverage. he's not getting on the field ahead of Barnett. next pre-season will be telling.. either he has to unseat Poppinga (or work his way in to the rotation somehow) or he's a special teamer during his tenure in Green Bay. weak C

3 75 Spitz, Jason C 6-3 304 Louisville - has been up and down. struggled a bit there in mid-season. so much so that the team completely abandoned running to his side of the line. he has missed his fair share of cut blocks on the backside but he has shown enough to look promising. it' said that learning the zone-blocking scheme takes a full season. i like his future potential. he's fought through some injury to play when the team needed him. he's got a good lineman's disposition. pretty confident that he's gonna be a RG for a while here in GB. B

4 104 Rodgers, Cory WR 6-0 187 Texas Christian - :deadbanana: F

4 115 Blackmon, Will WR 6-0 199 Boston College - where to go with this guy? flashed a lot of potential in the pre-season. had Packer fans hoping he could step in to the nickel so the Pack could waive Ahmad Carroll.. and maybe be a capable punt returner. fantastic athlete with skills at the corner spot but just can not stay healthy. might never be healthy enough to play. if he can get on the field i like his potential. until then he's been a bust. D

5 148 Martin, Ingle QB 6-2 219 Furman - not much to say here. 3rd QB. the team seems to like a few things about him. can't grade. I

5 165 Moll, Tony OT 6-5 308 Nevada - this draft pick completely befuddled me. a converted Tight End who played 1 (maybe 2?) seasons at tackle at a so-so school. wasn't too thrilled with the guy but he stepped in at guard AND tackle due to injury and has acquitted himself fairly well. pass blocking has been fine but along with Spitz has struggled in the run game. probably a career backup/borderline starter guy but he's been fine so far. when the team needed him he stepped in and did the job. C

6 183 Jolly, Johnny DT 6-3 318 Texas A&M - lodged behind Pickett, Williams and a couple others ( ) at the tackle spot. has shown some pass-rush ability and run-stuffing but hasn't seen the field a whole lot. i like what he's got in the bag.. hope to see more of him. hasn't played enough to really get a good feel for him but i think he's a rotation guy. C

6 185 Culver, Tyrone FS 6-0 196 Fresno State - eesh. this guy probably doesn't see the field if Marviel Underwood stays healthy. he's OK. nothing special. had some blunders in the secondary with him out there.. some of that can be chalked up to the EPICALLY BAD coaching of Kurt Schottenheimer.. some to his own ability. nothing about him tells me he's going to be around long. D+

7 253 Tollefson, Dave DE 6-4 255 Northwest Missouri State - practice squad guy. team does think he can develop. nothing to grade. I
i'm pretty happy with this one. it's not stellar but it's pretty solid. i'd give it a B.

New England 1 21 Maroney, Laurence RB 6-0 216 Minnesota 2 36 Jackson, Chad WR 6-1 212 Florida 3 86 Thomas, Dave TE 6-3 239 Texas 4 106 Mills, Garrett TE 6-1 227 Tulsa 4 118 Gostkowski, Stephen K 6-2 210 Memphis 5 136 O'Callaghan, Ryan G 6-7 343 California 6 191 Mincey, Jeremy DE 6-4 258 Florida 6 205 Stevenson, Dan G 6-5 297 Notre Dame 6 206 Smith, Le Kevin DT 6-3 315 Nebraska 7 229 Andrews, Willie CB 5-9 182 Baylor Patrionts - B-

Maroney was a great pick.

I'm not ready to call Jackson a bust yet, but I'm starting to get a little worried.

O'Callaghan turned out to start for us. Good pick.

gostkowski has been good.

I still do not get the Thomas/Mills picks. One glaring hole for us that was there on draft day and even more obvious today was the lack of depth at the LB position. So we loaded up on TE/H-back types, and now we have Banta-Cain playing because the guy we signed out of RETIREMENT to start got hurt.

It was a head scratcher that day, and it still is for me.

carpenter was not the right pick, the LB corps was not the problem, our o-line was

mcneill was the guy a lot of us 'boys fans were hollering for, and we go and get a LB that adds nothing to our SB hopes.

:lmao:

I will admit to being a Houston homer here and now and I support them drafting Mario Williams last year!

Taking everthing into account, who would you rather have:

Mario Williams and Adrian Peterson or Reggie Bush and Gaines Adams?

I don't know about you, but I like Williams/Peterson MUCH better!

Drafting is considered long-term plan, not a short-term solution guys!

I'm with ya...... I think the people who laugh and mock Houston aren't looking long term....As a Jets fan, I really wasn't high on Reggie Bush until they had some sort of OL... When I look at Houston I think they evaluated this draft as DEEP at OL so, they took Mario, then they took ANOTHER stud Defensive guy and STILL got two good offensive tackles..... (they are good right?)I kinda wanted the Jets to do that, trade down, get talent later in the 1st round maybe at DT and STILL get Mangold and two more OL guys.....

Last year the Saints had the second worst record in the league and the Titans the third. The Saints are an NFC superbowl contender and the Titans are 6-7. The Saints changed a massive amount of personel last year, but I'd rather be talking about the improvement of the Texans then hoping they lose out to improve draft spot.

I give the Buc's a B.

Since they were targeting O-line, I think they did the best they could. Joseph, and Trueblood appear to be two of the better O-line drafted, and they should get better. Gradkowski is good value for 6th round imo. Still pissed that we haven't seen much from Stovall, but he may play more now that Clayton is on IR.

Chances are Joseph will suck next year, like all 1st round TB draft picks.

Clayton- good first year, I think we can officially label him as a bust

Caddy- has a fumble problem as bad as Pittman did the year they drafted Caddy to replace him.

Buffalo - B+Whitner and Simpson have been really good. McCargo was playing well until the injury.
Bills got tremendous value from the draft- contrary to the pundits who roasted Marv for being senile. In addition to the 2 safeties who started from day 1:Kyle Williams is the most effective nose tackle and playing 50% of the snaps Keith Ellison is now starting due to injuryPennington has been starting at RT since Peters was moved to LT at the bye week.Merz started one game and may start this week if Peters can't goBuffalo 1 8 Whitner, Donte SS 5-10 203 Ohio State 1 26 McCargo, John DT 6-2 301 North Carolina State 3 70 Youboty, Ashton CB 6-0 188 Ohio State 4 105 Simpson, Ko FS 6-1 208 South Carolina 5 134 Williams, Kyle DT 6-1 298 Louisiana State 5 143 Butler, Brad OT 6-7 309 Virginia 6 178 Ellison, Keith OLB 6-1 229 Oregon State 7 216 Pennington, Terrance OT 6-7 326 New Mexico 7 248 Merz, Aaron G 6-3 326 California
