Relentless Unwanted phone calls - HELP! (1 Viewer)

I'm getting robocalls from health insurance salesman every 10 minutes (literally) on my cell phone. Every call comes from a different number from a variety of states. So I can't simply block the number. They continue all day from 9:00-5:00. I usually ignore the calls, but if I answer, there is nobody on the line.

About a month ago, I made the mistake of inquiring about individual health ins online and provided my contact info to these cretins.

I'm at my wits end!! Is there anything I can do to stop this nonsense besides change my number?

Been getting alot of telemarketer calls recently on my cell phone as well. Usually different numbers every time.

Can you set up your phone to screen all unknown numbers? If not, you could probably redirect your number to a service that does that (Google Voice?).

Visit the National Do Not Call Registry website, at donotcall.gov.

Click "Register Now" and enter up to three telephone numbers. Enter a valid email address and submit the form.

Check your email for a confirmation of your registration. Open the email and click the link to complete the process. According to the site, confirmation emails arrive within a few minutes; if you don't see it, check the spam folder.

I've done this but I think I'm screwed because I agreed to be contacted for a health ins quote.

They still can't use robocallers. I don't think those are permitted...although I'm not 100% sure.

I had this happen at my home phone number. I answered the phone, and asked politely for the person's name and phone number. I then told them I have already asked to be taken off your list. I then said if they call one more time I'm turning your name and phone number into my state's attorney general office for harassment.

Never received another call.

That's great, but there is nobody on the line when I answer.

That happened to me. I just called the number back.

Remember when Kramer used Elaine's phone number to have every menu in NYC faxed over? She had to change her 212 number to a 646 number, then she got a dead Grandma's 212 number and the grandkid kept calling?

Good episode.
