Since the Cowboy game is Monday night, why can't they just play it Sunday in Dallas?
That's too soon. But they could do it Monday night in Dallas or in NO. Those are driveable by Houston fans. To try to do anything on any other date would create huge changes in schedule.Well, Dallas is 4 hours, but NO is 8. So it should be Dallas.
Texas stadium will be a little busy Monday night as the Boys beat up on the Eagles.
Nothing like some extra action. 2 QB's throwing to receivers all simulatneously. Make it a tag team where both teams are legal.

I know this is crazy talk, but why not hold the game in Baltimore? The league could compensate the Texans for the loss of a home game with a draft pick.

If I were a local fan in the Houston area I'd be busy on Sunday dealing with the after effects of Ike on my home and in my community than going to watch a football game.

I'd be ok with that so long as you get some fannies in the seats, but why give them a pick? Did the saints get one I'm not aware of in the same situation.thats why I come back to moving this to the Superdome. Pay it forward to a relatively close stadium.Realistically, I figure its gotta be somewhere that a CBS crew is set up at already, to transition the broadcast. keep the cameras and production for an extra day and move forward. Don't know who has those games this weekend.

Is this unprecedented? Have we ever had a game postponed to another week? Just wondering if people think they'll be playing at a last-minute neutral facility on Monday or is the feeling that this game will get moved to a future date?
If I remember right, Hurricane Andrew caused the Week 1 Miami game to be postponed to another week in 1992.

I'm sure the NFL could play this game Tuesday, then move the week 3 game to Monday. It'd be two short weeks in a row but it's no different than what the Thanksgiving teams go through occasionally.
The big problem with this is that it would mean three games on Monday night which the MNF guys wouldn't like at all.
