I'm dying over hereThere isn't even a best part to quote. The entire thing is side splitting.I'm dying over here
DIAFI'm gonna get killed for this, but I never got the B&B love. Of course, I don't like The Simpsons either, so I'm kind of a weirdo like that I guess.

or
"Eddie Vedder dyed his hair red"
Yes, it was this & one local radio show an hour a week for me.Although not the really early days, my fondest memory of MTV will always be taping 120 Minutes and being able to listen to music I liked that I couldn't find on the radio or easily elsewhere.
Remember hearing about SRV from mtvWhere I found out about Yngwie getting arrested & Robert Smith getting married.I remember those little news breaks with Kurt Loder and then John Norris(?). In those days before the internet they were little golden nuggets of music information.
candy barGreat song.Surprised this hasn't been mentioned. Seemed like they played it every 30 minutes in the early days. Great video and song.

This one brings back memories too
Oh yea!
I remember when this premiered. It was all the rage and I remember rushing home from work to catch the premier.
The story of how this version came together is great. And, Walk this Way with Run.
Actually hated them, only because of how self important Loder seemed to come across as.I remember those little news breaks with Kurt Loder and then John Norris(?). In those days before the internet they were little golden nuggets of music information.
I think this video was well liked
I met those knobs once. Total losers.Tell us a story, grandpa.I think this video was well liked

LOL...i never saw this post ...thats pretty funnyClub MTV, anyone?
The ditzy blonde at 1:51 ended up marrying Kelsey Grammer. She was a regular dancer on the show, as was Sandra Taylor ("Sandi Korn" at the time - did Penthouse before Playboy), as was a girl I went to HS with. Some wild BTS stories from that show, lemme tell ya.
Late to this thread, but I totally remember that video and the concert when they first aired in on MTV. Think it was late 1982. Always got a kick out of Alex Lifeson's smokin' red smoking jacket. We got MTV just a little less than a year after it came out.
The girl that played Christian was such a fantastic actress that Night Ranger went right back to her in When You Close Your Eyes.Double fist-pump: Check
Over Enunciating: Check.

I have fond memories at Woodstock '99 when that toolbag came on stage and the entire crowd was chanting "Kurt Loder's a boner".shuke said:Actually hated them, only because of how self important Loder seemed to come across as.I remember those little news breaks with Kurt Loder and then John Norris(?). The literal video for this one is pretty good. Not as good as Total Eclipse Of The Heart, but well done.Pat Benatar demonstrates how to deal with an abusive pimp: awkwardly dance him off the premises.

And back when that song was still fresh and not grossly overplayed.
Whose ranking system was that - I don't recall.I used to love the all time video rankings.
I remember when November Rain took over Thriller for the #1 video of all time ranking. IIRC, that was the first video that knocked Thriller off. I think Jeremy was #1 for awhile as well. When Cobain died, Teen Spirit took it over. Then when Biggie died, Hypnotize took over the spot for awhile. Then I think it went back to Thriller.
