no waivers until after week 1 is pretty unfair
Nothing is unfair that all owners knew and agreed to when the league was formed. We've done it in my homer league for about 15 years now and it's great.
And I will reiterate - Team PK solves a whole lot of angst and would have saved bacon here too.
**** happens and a league that doesn't allow you to compensate for problems that might occur is anti-competitive and a bad rule. If the rule was in place and he knowingly took an injured kicker then I think you could make the argument that it's on him and yeah I'd agree but if he took Bass and then Bass got hurt inbetween the draft and week 1 then it's totally unfair that he's not allowed to pick up a kicker. Even if it's on him and he just did a dumb thing, just in general, I don't think the no waivers before week 1 is a great thing. What if a bunch of my starters got injured in practice, I shouldn't be allowed to pick up replacements if I need to? I don't think I'm being an ******* about this and I hope
@Terpman22 isn't too mad at me nor do I think he's some kind of bad person. I just think he got it kinda wrong and unlike Derrick Henry we are all human and make mistakes. He came to us with his problem and we offered our advice and now he is going to, rightfully so IMHO, change it next year. I think it's a good thing that we can help somebody out.
lol I feel relatively strongly about this I'm in a dynasty with no IR and I think it's kinda BS.
