This probably does not come to a surprise to those who have watched Maroney closely in preseason. He has played exceptionally well.

Looks like my 8th round pickwas well-spent on Maroney especially it is a keeper pick (minus 3 rounds every year so I could keep him for 5th rounder next year). :thumbup:

Do not believe this unless there is confirmation from another source. Hartman is not exactly bulletproof. He's the world's biggest homer, and this doesn't surprise me at all that he'd report this.

Sounds like it is this writer's speculation not the big man's decision.
 
Just being a homer, I can tell you that this is BS. There's been nothing about this, and it's not like Belichick to come out and announce something like this.

 
Nothing to confirm this locally. Right now, it's a RBBC with Faulk being a healthy factor as well. How the % of carries breaks down is open to debate but I believe it will change on a game-to-game basis. BB loves to throw out different looks and this trio allows him to do it in a big way.

As stated by Jets, even if it were true BB wouldn't tell the media. He'd keep the schedule a secret if he could.

Sid Hartman is the biggest homer there is and he is always full of crap. I remember several years ago when Christian Okoye was having a contract dispute and Hartman had a huge article about the Vikings trading 3 crap players for Okoye. :bye:

How exactly would Maroney have an agent at the end of last year? And I highly doubt that he was not trying hard seeing as that would hurt his draft prospects. I don't know anything about this writer, but in my opinion he has 0 credibility. I am sure he is just speculating on how they performed in the preseason, but there is no way that this has come from the Patriots organization.

Wow, can you imagine if Belichik came out and said this, though? Maroney could go before Bush in some drafts......

"Thank you, Coach. Could you tell me, given what you know about your defensive team weaknesses, what plays could your opponents run which would be the most devastating to defend against? What are the first 15 plays you will run against your first opponent in the regular season? Which of your players is nursing an injury which could be targeted by the opponents and cause him to miss the season?"
 
I'm only closing this instead of deleting it b/c I want folks to see information here that Hartman is NOT to be trusted.
