Republican Debate - Feb 13th - Trump On Full Tilt (1 Viewer)

Wish we had another hour of this. Trump comes across to me as easily the most electable, by far.

Kasich needed a better effort than this, but he clearly fell into a VP type role tonight.

Cruz is frightening. And Canadian.

Rubio is green as turtle crap

And Bush also needed a better showing.

America Future Fund Pac just had a scathing anti-Cruz ad. They seem to support Kasich.

Cruz is easily the smartest and brightest on the stage; too bad he sucks as a human being.
When God was building people he asked each candidate how much speed, heart, hands, smarts they wanted like you are creating a player on Madden

Cruz went all in on debate skill but left him with 0 for humanity

Just finished watching have not read the thread.

-Trump nailed it and his final words I thought were the most telling. Unlike the others he DID NOT mention the Lord, the American People, abortion, or any of the other rhetoric the others spew. Jeb, Marco, Ted, they just do not get it. The heartbeat of this country really is not the GOP establishment, in fact they look like idiots on the stage next to Trump. Isn't Bush tired of having his can kicked all over the stage for 2 hours?

-When Trump is most vulnerable or open to attack they seem to miss those opps. The best time to hit him is not after he lands 10 body shots and an upper cut. Were any of these idiots ever taught how to fight? Sometimes it's best to throw the first punch and just end it, think Trump subscribes to that theory.

I would be surprised if much that happened at tonight's debate will influence heavily next Sat but Trump supporters should feel very comfortable voting for him, he comes across by far the best on stage. I am not saying Trump has the best answers to all the problems facing this nation, not at all. But he stands tall up there and seems like a man with a plan, the others just talk in hyperbole and don't sound honest.

Daddy, I wanted to buy a 10th AK-47 rifle to go with the other 9 I own, and they're making me do ANOTHER background check. I had to skip a nail appointment because of the extra 15 minutes the background check took. And it's YOUR fault daddy! You allowed the Supreme Court to take away my 2nd Amendment rights!

I honestly am not sure who won or did well during this debate.
Rubio and Cruz want to try to knock the other out of the race and quickly if they can. The candidates tonight mostly did not attack trump, they need to rip each other up first and try to find 1 guy form the establishment, so far that has been a disaster for them.

Trump did nothing to stop the momentum and I think he nailed it on the closing statement with what he omits from his speeches. I am a GOP atheist/agnostic at best so I don't enjoy the Evangelicals, they really drag the party down IMO and I'm sorry to those I offend. I don't believe in organized religion, even my wife's yoga classes are a cult if you ask me.

It seems like places 2-5 are trying to tear each other up and forget about Trump until a clear challenger can emerge. It didn't go well hen they did try to land a punch on Trump.

What is wrong with you?

Really? Cruz isn't a big enough target without dragging his daughter into it? You have a buffet to choose from there with Cruz, surprised you would attack his defenseless daughter.

His tax plan leaves a lot to be desired. And he has trust issues.
You say this right after you call Trump the most electable?
Yes, Trump is what he is, but Cruz is a phony
And Trump is full of crap too.

Just funny when people pulling for Trump call other people liars or untrustworthy.

He said that he didn't want to face his daughters ten years from now having given up their second amendment rights.

The only things I am more certain of after tonight are that Jeb Bush and Ben Carson need to go away. Like now. I just hate Jeb with the power of a thousand suns and Carson needs to be put down for his nap.

Rubio is too green for the gig.

Trump had good points, but he was a dumpster fire at times with his attacks. Went waaaaaaay overboard.

I wouldn't trust Cruz to park my car.

Kasich...I liked a lot of what he had to say. Too bad he won't be the guy.

I love how so many analysts on CNN and Fox are framing it as Donald lost because he didn't play well to the South Carolina.

Trump isn't just talking to the state with the upcoming primary when he goes on these debates.

SE, too. As for Fox giving the victory to Rubio, Krauthammer has endorsed Rubio, so he's not objective, not even close. Neither is Steve Hayes.
We will see. If it's ever going to happen for Ted it's gotta happen in SC. If he can't win there, he's got no shot. I'm just praying it's not Bernie and Ted in the general.

I only heard the second half but:

Jeb sounded whiny.

Marco sounded robotic.

Ted sounded creepy.

Kasich and Carson sounded like nobody really gives a damn.

Trump sounded like Trump.

Unfortunately IMO Trump wins by default. None of these munchkins are going to beat him. Gonna be up to Hillary or Bernie, I'm afraid.

They also hate Trump because he won't bow to them and they know Cruz could lead to a downticket disaster, so their bought-and-sold canned narrative (irrespective of what actually happened) is that the "establishment" guy won. It's funny.
