registered Republican, voted 90% R the last 29 years. not anymore.

what's the point? the Country has a wave election to put R's in control of congress and a month into action....crickets.

This country needs a true conservative. Also doesn't make sense you would trash Republicans after obama proven himself to be the worst president in our lifetime

Shall I pm you my info now, tommyboy? You know as well as I do there's never going to be a bill that reaches Obama's desk that repeals Obamacare.

j/k. I can't win the bet until Obama's term is done. Anything can happen in the meantime.

But at this point I don't expect it.

The Republicans are in a no win situation. They have no real leadership. The party is splintered into uber conservatives, dolts, and reasonable conservatives. The problem is they made their gains by appealing to all three, and there's very little they can do that would satisfy all audiences. They can submit another repeal of Obama care, and watch it get vetoed. But that can't be the signature move if a congress that hasn't done anything in half a decade. Obama pushed popular ideas in the sotu, and the Republicans don't have many broadly popular ideas besides stop Obama.

Now they need real proposals, but they've over promised. The fake budget proposals they've pushed over the past few years never had to balance because they were never going to pass, and now they can't deliver so they're going to have to prioritize and compromise. And the dolts won't like reality one bit.

They're starting to learn that getting agreement on a yes is a lot harder than getting agreement on a no. And they have less than two years to make a case that their party is worthy of leading the country and find a string candidate who can contend for the presidency. Actually governing is a distant third on that list

Voting for either wing of the war party is pointless. Nothing will change when Hillary is your next bomber in chief, just as there is no difference between Bush and Obama.

The GOP is the party of Big Business.

The Democrats are THE OTHER party of Big Business.

We've had 6 years of republicans telling us what they're against. (Anything Obama)

I just want to hear what they are for.

Send him something to sign or veto.

No more excuses.

I'm not holding out much hope, but I'll give them more than a month. I don't expect much from Boehner because he's spineless. Calling in Netanyahu is a doosh move. I think Mitch can put a little sense into things but we'll see. We have no leaders, on both sides.

Well, they're trying to roll back Dodd Frank. It's good to have priorities I guess.http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-gop-financial-reform-attack-20150114-story.html
Don't forget the 20-week abortion ban that even the republican women in Congress are running from.

bostonfred laying it down.

Hey, why dont the repeal obamacare and send that vote to obama to veto.

Or pass a law capping state university salaries/admin expenses/donations and tax the hell out of any overages.

Or pass glenn Reynolds revolving door tax

Or pass a tax on Hollywood

Or introduce legislation to replace exchanges with state commissions

Or legalize marijuana

Or shut down DHS

Anybody in here that thinks democrats are better than republicans, or that republicans are better than democrats... you're the problem.

The Tea Party is the worst thing that could have happened to the GOP. Most Tea Partiers are of the "we don't want to compromise" ilk, which means they oppose moderate Republicans because heaven forbid they support someone who doesn't agree with them 100% of their extremists views. To me, the fact that many are on the right still take Sarah Palin seriously is symbolic of how far the GOP has fallen. Granted, the Democrats suck, too, but for different reasons.

The early tea party should have gotten together with the early occupy people. Unfortunately the respective parties infiltrated them both and ruined the core messages.

Well, yeah, but to be fair, when you're 6 years old that isn't saying much.

I say it's too late.. If they don't have a "Presidential" leader by now they missed the boat....

I also think the next President is going to be a 1 termer who takes the fall for this house of cards Obama set up with Healthcare and other spending that will not be sustainable and a foreign policy mess.... He twists words about how great the "Deficit" is when it means absolutely nothing... he uses it to Spend MORE.... FREEE STUFF!!!!

As a Fiscal conservative I say push for Hillary, let the whole thing tank and start grooming a real Fiscal Conservative for the next go....

That's right......TANK THE SEASON!!!! Peyton Manning should be ready to run by then...

I'll save my complaints for when things really go to hell again. In the meantime, I'm kind of enjoying the way things are going down at the moment.
