Just wondering what you guys thought about maybe NFL players being fresher this year because of the reduced contact, not to mention the lack of OTA's. I have read reports of multiple players saying they feel fresher than usual due to the lack of offseason workouts. I am mostly interested in this because of the effect it might have on featured backs. Now a dying bread, feature backs take such a pounding from game action, practice, etc, they struggle to make it through 16 games without a running mate. If this causes those backs to receive an additional 20-40 carries during the season, we may see a little more value slide to the non-elite No.1 running backs during draft time. Thoughts?

Won't make a difference. The NFL current flavor is RBBC. Until a team, with a feature back, comes out and dominates all the way to a Superbowl victory, that is unlikely to change.

Not saying it's going away, just saying RBs might get some extra touches, maybe stay fresher so they are more effective, be less banged up for the last three weeks of fantasy season when you dominate all year long and then you lose the title to a bunch of 2nd, 3rd, or 4th string RBs in week 16.

I like your thinking. I bet it does have some effect, they're only human. RBBC is not going away and the pounding of a 16 game season will be there but RB's should be a bit fresher, now and later. May result in a few more carries.

Meanwhile you can read plenty of articles blaming the lockout on all the injuries we're seeing.
