retrospective mock draft using 2009 data (1 Viewer)

would you guys be opposed to doing an 'everyone plays everyone each week' type of heads up? I think that would help us see more accurately what types of teams perform best in a headtohead league.
it's easy enough to report both results, so sure.

guys, to keep this rolling, if you don't make a pick in 24 hours, I'll make one for you. The autopick will be the highest available VBD player.

Is that cool with everyone?

Sure, so long as you said a PM too. sometimes I can't check the board, but I get email notice of PMs.

guys, I will be out of town until tomorrow. A PM has been sent to football critic; hopefully he checks in soon and this can continue.

Thanks

At the end of round 2 - all play standings are as follows:

moleculo 78

fubar 72

guppy D 109

gonzobill5 83

No Way Jose 109

guppy E 111

Football Critic 104

Truman 75

guppy F 76

gheemoney 96

guppy C 64

guppy G 76

3.11 moleculo Brent Celek

3.12 guppy F Tony Gonzalez

4.01 guppy F Philip Rivers

4.02 moleculo Tom Brady

at the end of round 3 (round 2 all play in parenthesis):

moleculo (78) 72

fubar (72) 79

guppy D (109) 99

gonzobill5 (83) 89

No Way Jose (109) 101

guppy E (111) 114

Football Critic (104) 97

Truman (75) 76

guppy F (76) 79

gheemoney (96) 97

guppy C (64) 73

guppy G (76) 79

Guppy E is pulling away with Peyton Manning, Wes Welker and Santonio Holmes. Of course, we should expect Guppy E to come back down to earth once he picks a TE and a RB.

IMO, this is where the draft starts getting interesting...the easy, safe picks are gone, and now it's about what type of player you think will do well, given injuries, etc.

at the end of round 4 (rounds 1 and 2 all play in parenthesis):

moleculo (78) (72) 90

fubar (72) (79) 93

guppy D (109) (99) 90

gonzobill5 (83) (89) 101

No Way Jose (109) (101) 96

guppy E (111) (114) 87

Football Critic (104) (97) 92

Truman (75) (76) 66

guppy F (76) (79) 97

gheemoney (96) (97) 90

guppy C (64) (73) 76

guppy G (76) (79) 77

Big movers: Moleculo, fubar, gonzobill5, guppy F, all saw big gains - not coincidentally, these were the teams that took a QB this round. Four of the bottom 5 teams do not have a QB still, so it looks to me like we can't judge the impact of drafting player X until we all have starting line-ups complete.
