I have to be out in the field today, all day. Possibly back at 4:00, but could be as late as 8:00 tonight. I will PM a list for my 5.13 pick and possibly my 6.2 to FM as he is the only guy I see on board.

Got it. :lmao: I will be out until about 11:30 or so but I doubt your pick will be up before then.

Sent PM to Family Matters, but if its mid afternoon or later, please use the list for only this rounds pick. You guys can wait a couple of hours for the second pick when I return.

It is still early in this draft and I like to be as fair as possible. I'll give him an hour while I work out and then I'll check back in.

It looks like Pimp may be about to make his re-pick. If Shadow doesn't come back soon I'll leave a pm with Pimp and valence.

I know we're being consistent with how we've handled this in the past, but I would strongly favor a rule put in place to CONTINUE the clock for any owner who drafts a player already picked. How can it advance to another player before a valid player has been picked?

If you make this mistake in any other draft, someone states, "already taken" or "gone" and you're still on the clock, but that doesn't mean the other person can jump in and pick ahead of you while you still have time on the clock.

Just my two cents for future consideration.

I broke from my own plan, and I'm fully prepared for Pimpin' to take both of the guys I now want to fall back to me - but I'm still going to scream when it happens.

disagree. take 2 seconds to do a find on your player. others shouldnt have to wait because you didnt do your due diligence

I didn't want to skip him - and I while I know he doesn't want another TE, he may want who Frank is going to pick. That is basicly why I held off for 2 hours. Perry was begging me to pick in a PM, so I moved it along.

disagree. others HAVE to wait until you submit a valid pick anyway, so waiting isn't the issue.

There is a certain responsibility that goes along w/drafting in this type of setup...it is not up to the rest of ownership to keep tabs of the players selected for anyone---that information is fully available at the top of each draft threadPP won't have his clock reduced as a result of this--he made his pick in a timely manner...but we will allow the draft to continue, and PP can jump in at any time and made an adjusted 5.8 selection

I need to run a couple errands, and will be back in ~ an hour---I had forwarded a list to Hook, but we'll pause at my pick if Frank picks until I get back

I can totally understand both sides of this equation. My gut reaction is to keep the clock in tact until it runs out, or a valid pick is made. However, this is a long draft and momentum can be fleeting and easily broken. Ultimately the 'show must go on' mentality probably serves the draft and the group as a whole the best. Hopefully we don't have too many of these instances occur.

THAT is the point - we have always just moved along and not waited for repicks, so we shouldn't start now.AND for some that have time constraints, they may plan when they can login based on when they expect to pick, so holding up the draft for X more hours is not fair to themBack to drafting - paging the courtroom.....

 Well they would have to be on the board first, and I'm not so sure that will be the case with this group. I am with the others that suggest we keep the draft moving if/when someone picks a player for the 2nd time. We are all vets here. No need to make things easier for anyone IMO.

If someone can't make a pick without knowing who's been drafted or within the time limits then I can't feel for them barring some type of emergency. If you don't have the time to do it right then it might be better to not do it at all. Not trying to be a tough guy about it but we see this in what seems every draft. It's disruptive to the rest of the group and that's why we need to move along. Maybe next time he'll do it right. :goodposting:

I know it's not a huge thing, at least not this time but at the end of the day be prepared. While it's not much there is money on the line so let's stay consistent. Hats off to ravnzfan for handling it the right way.

5.12 Braylon Edwards, WR, Cleveland

PMing rzr
You do know this isn't a DYNASTY league right Ollie??just jokes...

actually good value where you picked your guys, its just that your team is extremely young.

Based on this message, I will not be making rzrback's next pick:

Please do NOT use list for second pick at 6.2 if the first pick is made after 2:00 pm CDT. I prefer to make the second pick. If 5.13 is made before then go ahead, I don't want to hold up the draft.Appreciate it.
